Default I know what it means to live!

So here in Upstate New York where the sun is shining at it's a balmy 17 degrees...fahrenheit...I busseled my way through four feet of snow and made it to the co-op, the local grocer, and back home today before 2PM...with all of my groceries for the week...spending less than $35.00 (If I really stretched it out I could probably get a week and a half out of them but...I love to eat...and eat well.)

At the beginning of the week I like to cut up my tomatoes and cucumbers and put them into a large covered pail (this last about three days in the fridge). That way thorughout the day I have no reason not to grab an amazing salad rather than some non-raw garbage. Today was one of those amazing salad days. I got my salad bowl and added a full cup of fresh spinach, a third cup of freshly diced tomatoes and a third cup of diced cucumbers. On top of that I added a third cup of avacado mousee (avacado and water whipped until it is really fluffy) on top of which I placed a quater cup of raw almonds and drizzled a balsamic vinegar, agave, strawberry onion dressing (really just a really good mixture of those ingredients but you get the picture). It is the first time since going being RAW or SAD that I felt like I REALLY ate. This is the best food I can recall in my 24 years and the first time since starting this challenge that I feel like this can be so much more than 30 days...this could be my life.

    THANK YOU RAWFOOD TALK!

Red face Day 8 for me

I lost 4 lbs so far. Everytime I go 100% raw I get so sinus stuffy. Does anybody have any warm recipes?

I am doing this with a friend from work so it is nice to see others are starting to bring more fruits and salads when they used to eat burgers. I guess we make them feel bad for eating all of that junk. see RAW IS CONTAGIOUS.:)

    breakfast. Pear, Banana, 4 dates.
Lunch. BIG salad my friend make the peanut dressing from Alissa's book.
Dinner. Bok Choy cut with EVOO, red pepper flakes little applecider vinager. I was trying to make it like Kim Chee.
and quacamole with a few flax crackers.

I am freezing here in Florida and remember why I moved away from the snow. Raw Bless and stay warm.

    Default Back!

I am FINALLY feeling almost 100% better.

    And...

I got a Vitamix today! Yay! I made the most yummy smoothie -- celery, spinach, orange, banana, and apple -- and everyone loved it. I am so excited about having a ton of raw recipes open to me now. I'm also thrilled to finally feel like a human being again.

I did slip off of raw some for soups because I was really falling apart (which was due to the illness, not the raw).

Back to raw for me -- in style!

    S: choc ice cream
D: salad with avos and raw caeser dressing
    S: raw choc
