Was raw yesterday but didn't get to post.
Today is going well--looking forward to the weekend!

    Food so far:
1-Fresh squeezed red grapefruit juice--so good!
    2-2 baby bananas
    3-Orange
4--will be w more baby bananas
5-will be raw almonds and raisins
6-will be large salad with romaine, avocado, tomatoes, celery, sugar snap peas.

I noticed the raw food is tasting more intense and delicious!

Best wishes for today and the weekend!

Realized today that I have hardly been drinking any water for days! It's freezing cold here, and I just haven't been thirsty. So, I am going to make a conscious effort to get in 8-10 glasses today.. I think this is why my weight has stabalized..

    Will post my food later!

    Psyched about Day 8!

Good day today, feeling better all round.

Also started to feel hungry this morning so was snacking on macademias and raisins throughout the day at work.
Lunch - leftover salad & red pepper dressing from last night
Dinner - marinara sauce on angel hair pasta (made enough for daughter who is not raw - but loved it too)
    Snack - raw choc

The scales this morning say that I've lost 8 lbs in the first 7 days of 100% and an inch off my belly Mrs Gecko has lost 3 lbs.

Default Felt my first buzz today!

This evening, after having a collard wrap with marinated onions and mushrooms and avocado, carrot and zucchini (YUM!) I really started to get my first "buzz." It's awesome. My body is feeling so light and clean, despite the fact that I'm eating a TON of food! And my skin continues to look more clear every day! Here is what I had today:

1 green smoothie with kale, banana, coconut oil, some cocoa powder, 2 pieces of walnut fudge, 2 crackers with mock salmon pate, a collard wrap (mentioned above,) some banana crackers dipped in tahini (weird, I know, but i love tahini) and I've got some macadamia/banana cookies in the dehydrator now. I know I've been going too heavy on the nuts and crackers, but like I said yesterday, I think when my body and mind are both sure I'm not going to be deprived, I'll gravitate more toward lighter foods.

    Happy Friday!!!

(Also, today was the first day I really noticed an improvement in my mood. I just feel happy, for no reason. It's nice!)

I didn't end up having my crackers yesterday, just didn't feel hungry.

    So far today:

1/2 blender of juice - carrot, beetroot and ceylon spinach (nice!!)
    3 x flaxseed crackers with avo/tom :) last night's dinner, lol
    4 Brazil nuts
    3 pieces dried pineapple
    4 slices dried mango
    6 cashews
Pineapple/spinach blended juice (1/2 blender full)
2 salad nori rolls for Dinner

I too really need to make a conscious effort to be drinking more water :)

Oh and I did juice the juice I just had to put it in the blender because the greens wouldn't mix through properly.

My weight release today also slowed and I believe the main contributor was a lack of water (previous days I had been drinking 2-3L but only got 30oz in yesterday) and not eating as much as I should have. I have had a general lack of appetite over the past couple of days and haven't been eating as much as I should have. I will try drink a lot more water today and eat a lot more (including more fat) tomorrow.

    1. Kudos to your for getting in the kitchen. I just took baby step in there today...
    2. I think my lack of appetite has mostly to do with not "needing to eat." As in the sugar/salt/grease cravings that I used to have with SAD I no longer have and I realize that most of the time when I was eating before I wasn't really "hungry." Thus, on RAW I spend less time eating because I only eat when my body wants something and not because I just want to put something in my mouth.
    3. I think it also has a little to do with getting "bored" with my food options. For the first seven days I didn't do any receipes and just ate whole fruits and nuts (almonds) and drank tons of water. As of yesterday and today I was just "bored" with eating that and so wasn't eating. After seeing the weightloss release slow dramatically I realized I was not eating enough or drinking enough water. So today I got in the kitchen and made an amazing salad with a garlic avacado dressing. DELICIOUS! While I'm still not "excited" to eat like I was on SAD, the salad was AMAZING and I wanted to eat it. So I think something to remember on raw is making sure to mix it up so that you don't get bored because the compulsion to eat that you feel when on SAD is not there.

You should try nuts and bananas. The first couple of days I was really "hungry" and ate lots of bananas and almonds. You could also try dates or other dehydrated fruits as they cause the closest symptons to "full" that you get with a SAD.

    Default Day 8

I am grateful for another fantastic day. I so love having found my way back to eating 100% raw.

    Today I had
    3 bananas
    2 pears
3 flax crackers with avo, tomato and clover sprouts
1 small scoop of chocolate hazelnut gelato

I am excited that I had time to exercise today and spent an hour on my treadmill.

Good luck to everyone for day 9
