Going well, although sick + detox?
There is an icky cold and whatnot going through my family. I am pretty sure that I have it.. which mingled with whatever detox is going on has me feeling pretty yuck. However, I am determined to do this as a 60 day challenge (til my bday). My husband did bring home donuts yesterday and last night mentioned he was going to get some chinese after kiddoes went to bed. Nice, huh? It's bizarre in that he supports me, yet is just fine with tempting me.
I've eaten a lot of almonds and had lots of simple soft fruits. I figure once this initial yuck passes that I will get more inventive. I have noticed, however, a huge change in my face in just a few days. It is much slimmer. I'm guessing that I was retaining water due to some bad food choices previously -and- the TOM thing.
I just finished watching Food, Inc. I highly recommend it to others. Excellent documentary on where your food is coming from, along with some surprising info that I didn't know. I am taking it easy today since I have a very full day tomorrow with work (8:30am-9pm). I plan to leave here a little early and stop by the market over near work that has a lot of organics. I am -not- thinking at all about calorie counts, I'm just eating whatever raw food that appeals.
I do hope to feeling like myself again soon so I can pick up my running program. I want to do a 5K before my bday as well.

Ugh. First day back at work and someone had to have a Birthday and bring cakes in. Took all my resolve to hold out
Today's food
Green smoothie (spinach, kale, banana, apple, apricot, flax oil, goji)
HUGE salad (romaine, cucumber, celery, apple, pine nuts, corn, pistachios, almonds, carrot, mushrooms, tomatoes, (last nights leftover) salsa, red and yellow peppers)
last of the apple pie
I'm feeling quite detoxy with mild headaches, skin breakouts and bits of dry chapped skin. Overall pretty good though.

Down 5 pounds in 4 days, and am about to go back to the gym after a holiday break. Hope my trainer doesn't kill me! Also excited that my boss bought a pint of raw choc ice cream from me--and he LOVES it!
B: V8 smoothie, cheezy sweet potato chips
L: banana, kale and blackberry smoothie
S: a few spoonfuls of raw choc ice cream
D: eggless salad, tomatoes and cucumbers on onion/flax bread and a few spoonfuls of choc ice cream

hello everyone! going raw tomorrow. been raw in the past and never, ever, ever felt as amazing as i have when raw. thrilled to get back into it. best to all!

1-Orange
2-banana, 2 dates
3-pear
4-1/4c walnuts
5-Green smoothie: frozen banana, fresh pineapple, baby spinach, water, ice

Sweetness, My fiancee was willing to eat out the 1st day of the year so that he wouldn't temp me while I started this raw diet. Which was nice but after that he's been eating his tasty chicken and mash potato meals sitting right beside me. I am bless though that he doesn't have a sweet tooth , if he ate a pie beside me I would have a fit.
Menu: the same as yesterday.
I plan to switch it up a bit tomorrow ..must go shopping.

Great job Gecko on skipping that cake! I have potluck later this month to deal with, but plan to take an amazing salad with me.
