    Default Juice vs. Green Smoothies

Okay, let's have it! What's everyone's opinion about green juice versus green smoothies? I have a Champion, so I've been juicing every morning, which has been great.

    Pros? Cons?

They're two different things, entirely. I would never say "Choose one over the other" but rather I would recommend doing BOTH! Each process has a multitude of benefits.

Major difference: Juicing removes the fiber and certain plant parts from your fruit/veg/greens. Smoothies gives you the whole fruit/veg/greens.

I historically can't drink Juices without incurring headaches.

I can drink (GREEN) Smoothies all day long and I just feel better, and better, and better, and....

I agree about not choosing one or the other. I do both and wouldn't want to give up either. *Ü*

I am swayed by the report from that group of raw "experts" who met in Florida earlier in the year and published guidlines.
They suggested that we include juice but they never mentioned smoothies.

I couldn't JUST drink juice because I need the fiber. I enjoy juices better but good BM's beat em all!! So a green smoothie a day it is.

Green smoothie is perfect for breakfast because the fiber will keep you going until lunch. I would recommend having a juice as a replacement for dinner because it will help give your digestion as much rest each day as possible which is akin to a mini fast everyday. I would recommend lunch being the biggest meal which would be some sort of enormous salad with seeds and a raw entree of some sort.

No downside to either. Sometimes I want smoothies, other times I want juice. Sometimes I want juice in my smoothie (instead of water). Whatever works for us at the time is the right choice.
