You are going to do very well with raw, I am sure. You have already lost 40 some lbs this past year and have already had the determination to "kick butt". I admire your spirit. Looking forward to hearing more about you as you go along.
YES, it is. And this may sound kind of gross but I used to have irregular bowel movements and sometimes it was painful. Since going raw (this is day four including my Monday fast) I no longer have those issues. Thank you for your support! I am excited to have finally joined the community and will do my best to be a positive and contributing member.

I totally agree. I had the classic love hate relationship with food. I would love it in my mouth and going down and then instantly feel guilty once finished. I also never felt satisfied. Since going raw I eat better and eat less because I am satisfied and no longer have sugar cravings. I'm not going to lie, the first day raw was tough, I was drawn to nuts because they were the closest thing to my carb heavy vegetarian diet; and my body definitely let me know it did not appreciate all the oil. But as my body has detoxed, my pallet is changing and food becomes more about nourishing my body than an "activity." And the very best thing about going raw has been the improvements I have seen in my body. My body didn't have a poor relationship with food and it's never seen a McDonalds commercial. It knows what it likes and doesn't like. Improving my relationship with food has become about really listening to my body and what it wants.
