    Default I am shocked!

I went to Toys R Us (my first time) with my husband and the twins tonight. We were looking all around the store and I was checking out the play kitchens. I turned around to look at the other side of the aisle and I saw pretend buckets of KFC chicken! I just couldn't stop laughing. I was horrified! Even my husband agreed and I told him I just had to post it ASAP to all of you. I wonder if PETA knows about this??!! There were also McDonald's and Pizza Huts play kits. Yikes.

We had a cart full of stuff, and just left it there. We don't think we'll ever be back in that store again. It was just horrible.

(I hope I'm not offending anyone who might be an employee for them)

    Have a good evening.

    Debbie,
Yeah, I've seen them. LOL! What a joke! Next you'll read that these companies do not blatantly market to children......... ummmmmm, okay!

Wouldn't it be great if a toy company came up with a Raw Food Play Kitchen? You could have a dehydrator, blender, food processor and lots and lots of plastic fruit and veggies. HEE!

I am with you on this one! I was also P.O.'ed when I saw those. I have purchased these for my children:

Ya it has the "bread" but that piece got lost very quickly anyway ha, ha.

Outlandish!!!! I can't stand it. Sometime I feel my kids will ALWAYS be at battle with the world's food problems. Extended family, school, friends homes, TV (what little they watch even), magazines, toy stores.....I just want to move us all to a small deserted island where nothing but nature flourshes ;)

Truthseeker, I'll hop on that island with you! I always ask my husband when he's ready to move to the tropics and eat mangoes, bananas, and pineapple all day (those are his favorite fruits).

Ah, yes . . . a tropicl island just for raw foodist. Could you imagine? We would have the healthiest group of people on the earth.

I have often thought about that . . . . living on an island, in a hut (a nice one with floors as I still want comfort). Sleeping in a hammock, going out and picking my meals. Listening to the water splash and the birds and other animals making their sounds. How peaceful. Ahhhh . . . just to dream. It is so relaxing just thinking about it.

Thanks for giving me this little piece of relaxation!!!

    Default Supersize me

I purchased "Supersize me" about a week ago. He talked all about how much these food companies advertise and how much is spent per organization.

They have engrained into our children which foods to eat even at a very young age. I cant remember how they worded it but it did make the point very clear.

I hope if you havent seen the movie that it would be a very enlightening.

    Default Marketing to Babies...

Remeber those baby bottles that were in the form of pepsi and mountain dew bottles? Now that was sick!

    Default Island for rawfoodests

Well that is the kind of place RP and myself are looking at and have actualy found a few that would work. We are bidding on a few now.
We will keep you all informed as to how it all goes. Most dont even have any utilitys at all. So we would have to boat, then get to town some how to check our emails or better yet not have any any more.
And yes if we get one we will let some ppl come visit.
