Thumbs up My First 30 Days

So, first, I will add some pictures later (not sure there's that much of a difference visually) if I can retrieve them off our hard drive (having some issues regarding cat puke )

Today is Day 30 of my 30 Day Challenge and I feel AMAZING! :)

    Weight
I think I am down 4 - 6 pounds which is a healthy weight loss, espically as how I am within limits for my height and blah, blah, blah. Start weight 130 and now about 122-124. Would I like to have seen more weight loss? Absolutely! I am looking for 105 but will be realistic. It's less about the numbers on the scale and MUCH MORE about not having the flab!!

    Feeling
I feel really good about myself! I made a promise to try 30 days and I kept that promise and that in itself feels fabulous! I feel lighter and happier and much more free. I am satisfied when I eat (though I still can't wait for the D) and I look forward to trying different things.

    Other Things I've Noticed
My skin is soft and clearing up (yup have that hideous adult acne thing not bad but still). My eyes are brighter - and this coming from a 10+ (former) smoker! My finger nails have hardened without me putting hardener crap on them (10+ years bitting due to the anixiety caused by nicotine - and prob nicotine itself) though they are a bit brittle right now.

    What's Next?
STAY RAW I am doing another 30 Day Challenge with different recepies out of Alissa's rawsome book AND I have decided to add a green smoothie everyday! Today is Day 2 of green smoothies.

Pic later I hope!! Best to all!! What a great way to live - THANK YOU ALISSA!!

Wow, good for you. That's a big accomplishment.

Thanks for sharing the info on your nails. That's nice to hear considering my nails are brittle. Another thing to look forward to!

Thank you!! yeah, I am stoked about the nail thing - I have always hated how flimsy my nails were when I would take a break from biting. It was an unexpected surprise :)

    Ditto to everything you said!
Shine,I feel you are my raw buddy as we started I think with in a few days of each other.:)
I feel lighter and clearer and have much more energy.
I plan to stick to this as I really do not want to go back to feeling not feeling light and not energenic!
My skin is smoother and clear and my eyes are brighter. I have lost a few pounds and really do not have any pounds to loose, but I have noticed the flab is gone too---my stomach looks flatter than it has in 10 years!!
I have not really had any cravings for cooked food. A couple of times I have been bored and wanted some ruffle potato chips!
There always seems to be plenty of food choices and interesting foods to eat.
I decided to try this way of eating becasue I have had a history with Chronic Fatique syndrome and Epstien Barr. Last summer in addition to that I started having weird MS/Lupus type symptoms. All checked out fine eventually with the doctors, but I decided to really take charge of my health and going raw was the ultimate.
So, Shine, here is to our 60 day up date next month!

We ARE rawfood buddies I love it!! So amazing what is happening - I am really enjoying this ride. My tummy is starting to flatten out, still have my liitle pooch but even she's firmer ;) My only craving has been beans and popcorn....funny those things. I started to try and heal whatever is making it so I "can't" have kids and I know my body is healing and my emotions I've carried in my body are slowly leaving!!

Tipping my green smoothie to you!!

Good on you both! Here is to many more months and years of rawesome health!
Thanks Kath!! So good to be here and a part of this rawsome place!

    Default Great for you!

i was wondering if you would post what one of your days looks like including your green smoothie. NO recipe needed just an idea of how much a day and what you are eating.

THANKS I have found so much inspiration here myself - it's nice to be able to give bakc too!! Wishing you the very best of luck as you start your challenge!!

I eat quite a lot but I guess it's what my body needs. I am not quite 100% at the moment (adding some steamed veggies and occasional grain....like maybe once a wek or so) so I wanted to add that as a disclaimer for the immediate NOW.
However - my smoothies are greens and fruit (I usually use bananas, pinapple, or berries) and this is breakfast. Might have 1/2 a melon before the smoothie if they are looking good at the store (which they were last week). I have fruit for morning/afternoon snacks - today I brought a banana and an orange. I'll have nuts or seeds as afternoon snack too. Lunch is a salad or a salad with an Alissa recepie. Dinner is a recepie (or in the case of right now I may have steamed veggies). I always bring lots of fruit with me to work so I have something if I get hungry. In the evening I'll sometimes have banana and almond butter with a little honey too.....mmmm, mmmm!!
