    Default Parsley question......

Hi everyone. Would someone please tell me if juicing parsley is best and do I keep the long stems to juice them also? Or should I do parsley in the vitamix? Thanks so much.:)

I juice parsley in my Champion. What I do first is cut it into 2" lengths. I find this is best so that "strings" don't get wrapped around its blade (I do the same with celery, etc).

I made a great tasting juice yesterday with 2 small apples, 3 large carrots, 1 bunch parsley, 1/2 lemon (with skin if organic)and ginger. The lemon really gave it a KICK! *Ü*

I like to juice celery and parsley together, stems and all.

Thanks Deb and EZ rider. This is just what I needed to read.
We brought a ton of parsley into the house today - probably the last until next year.

I love the added video too - he even has the same juicer I have. And his "positive thinking" will surely help me tomorrow as I begin another fast.

Since reading about your experience with your Green Star, Aleesha, I am leaning toward getting one next year. It wasn't too smart of me to return it. Actually, it is such a solid machine and the pulp was definitely very dry. Not sure why I switched to the Omega at the time. No matter. Hopefully, raw food will make me more decisive in every area of my life. Your juices sounded so good. Yum. I have, up to now, always put bunches of parsley right into the vitamix with the rest of my raw goodies. But on a fast, I guess one would want to "juice" it. I will do it, for now, in the Omega along with the wheatgrass when it grows - if it grows!:)

I just made some juice with a handful of parsley, stems and all. Didn't cut it at all before I ran it through my juicer, just ran it through with some carrots.

Thanks kittie - I'll do the same. Got lots of it from the garden yesterday and it's all washed and ready to go.

Is it ok to freeze parsely.. say in a zip-lock freezer bag ? I was thinking of getting a bunch at the farmers market before the winter.

    Finest regards,

Drying it? Do you dry it and freeze it or dry it and eat it later ? I would like to get a big bunch at the farmers and freeze it in zip-locks for juicing during the winter. Good plan ?

    Enjoy,

What don't you like about your Omega? Is it just that the Greenstar sounds so good?
