Unhappy Enema and Blood In Urine

Has anyone else had this experience?

I've been juice feasting for 7 days now. So far I've done two enemas. Immediately after my first enema, when I went to urinate, my urine was a pink color (I also had a strange pinching sensation in my lower abdomen). I called Ask A Nurse and they said that the blood in my urine was most likely not related to the enema and that I should go to the doctor if the urine turned a darker red or if it didn't go away. Thankfully the next day my urine was back to normal.

The experience frightened me even though I have done enemas before Juice Feasting and even trained as a Colon Hydrotherapist at one time. Today (about 3 or 4 days later) I finally attempted an enema again, as I hadn't done number two since the last enema. This time I was extra careful (even though I am always gentle and don't put much water in) and put even less water in. I seemed to feel ok during, however once I was on the toilet and I could feel the release coming I got the same odd pinching sensation in my abdomen. Again, when I urinated right after it was pink. Not again.

Currently I'm freaked out. My abdomen still has the pinching sensation (this time more on the right side) and my urine is still a bit of an odd color (a pale pink). Right now, I'm looking up free clinics in the area since I don't have health insurance and I just move to Los Angeles. Just wanted to know if anyone else has had anything like this happen.

P.S. I haven't been drinking any beet juice. It have only had pain and pink urine after the enemas.

    Thank You

HMMMMM I am puzzled. I was going to ask if you feasted on beets. Not sure why urine would be affected by enema. Other than profuse urine after, I have not had anything else different.

Pinching.Hmmm Well maybe to avoid costs and dr visit, go get a lil test kit at the drugstore. ?They are lil strips you pee and and see if their is infection.

If you are not worried toooo much....I would go into wellness. Take all your thought to wellness. Also help your body help itself. Amp immune support as well as adding things that support bladder. Nettle tea, cranberry, uvi ursi, probiotics, a ton of water (well not quite a ton), grapefruit seed extract and oregano oil for immune, onion, garlic, and whatever else you can think of.

Simply assisting your body in wellness.

    Keep us posted.

Default I knew I forgot something

I forgot to mention the UTI test. I have taken them just in case as suggested by my mom. All came up negative.

But thank you for responding so quickly.

    Default Thanks

I'll try your suggestions. Hadn't thought of any of those. Also trying to decide if I should continue the feast or wait until I know what's going on with my body.

Personally, I wouldn't worry about it but then, I'm not you. With the little info you've given, I'd say there's a "slight" possibility of a mild infection. I'd do some cranberry juice. Fresh cranberries are in season now which is perfect. I'd also get some GSE and add a few drops to everything I drank. It's a natural anti-biotic with no side effects.

could be a kidney stone. I had them yrs ago, light blood in urine & pain on rt side. Increase water, stay away from caffiene. If you have a fine strainer, filter the urine to see if anything comes out. When the stones came out of me, I had a stream of blood then no more.

    Default Thank You

Thanks everyone for all your advice. I made an appointment with a women's free clinic and stopped the juice fast.

I tested negative for Kidney Stones and I wasn't drinking any beet juice so I still don't know what caused this.

Because it was a women's clinic they focused more on gynecological issues. The good news is that I ruled out the kidney stones and any issues with my lady parts. The blood in my urine did stop.

Next year I plan to get insurance once our business is making more money, so if I'm still having any issues hopefully I can get it sorted out then.

Thanks again for all the suggestions.
