I love green smoothies too and have one every day! I have a LeQuip RPM blender that I use sometimes multiple times a day. I use a piece of whatever fruit I've got, throw in some frozen fuit and enough water to start it mixing. Then I add 6-7 big handfulls of spring greens and spinach while it's running and enough water to fill it to the brim. YUM!

I have a Green Star juicer as well and agree with Independent Thinker that it's a pain to clean, and I prefer the ease of just throwing the fruit into the blender.

    Default Juice, juice, glorious juice!

I have an Oscar Vital Max (Omegar 8005) juicer that I use to juice wheatgrass, mixed with carrots or apples, at least once a day, often twice. I have been doing this for a fortnight now and have noticed a big difference in my energy levels.

The poll didn't give an option for having a juicer and a blender/vitamix and using the juicer daily but not the blender, so i couldn't fill it in.

Maybe if I had a VitaMix instead of a very old blender I might get more into green smoothies, but I'm very happy with the juice -- and the Oscar is very easy to clean.

I have a plain old blender I use for green smoothies. I also have a champion juicer but I hardly ever use it b/c of the clean up.

I sold my two juicers, then went to the Natural Products Expo over the weekend and am thinking I just "may" purchase another one. Pretty much talked myself into it. :)

I like masticating way too much! I know green smoothies are probably the best way to go in the morning, but I absolutely love actually eating the fruit and feeling the texture..Freud would love that I'm sure. Anyway, I should drink green smoothies, but a crisp pear (or 3) wins every time!

Thumbs up Just the thread I was looking for

I have Jack LeLane's juicer...and I bought a blender about 6 mths ago. I haven't used the juicer in a good while because it's too time consuming. Plus it's such a waste when it comes down to all the pulp you end up getting rid of..unless you know what to do with it..which I still don't.

I love creating the green smoothies in the blender...I feel like I'm not wasting my hard earned money and I'm putting good use to every possible speck of ingredient and it goes right into my tummy.. I'm having one now while at work (green leaf lettuce, apple, strawberries...it's a lovely dark green) and I made a second one for a little later (kale and strawberries). I love the consistency even when adding water.

I'm pretty happy with my blender from Target...will upgrade to what's commonly used by the more experienced in the future. But no rush, as my cash is certainly limited.

    No option for me

I am interested in a Vitamix but not for smoothies, lol I have never been a smoothie or juice type of gal. I love my iced water with lemon, and herbal sun teas for beverages. :) Maybe some day, but not at this point in my journey.
