Default Wishing for More Raw Restaurants!!

I really wish for a lot raw food restaurants in my area and everywhere!! That right there would be such a big eye opener for a lot of people. They would see how delicious raw food is, don't have to feel guilty about a thing, and eat all they want!! I guess it's just always on my mind especially when I'm driving around.

"We" can make it happen. That's how the fast food restaurants came about.
I was on my way to pick up kale and thought too bad I have to go to a grocery store and how cool it would be to have "fast food" drive thru fresh veggie stands. Just think how many people that could hire?

I agree it would be nice to have raw food places just as ready, or even more so than, fast food places. At least there are some a few hours from where I live so every once in a while I get a treat.

Actually my kitchen is my best Raw restaurant. Don't get me wrong, it would totally RAWk if there was a Grezzo nearby, but I know how fresh my foods are. I know if everything is organic. I know HOW it was prepared; cleanliness, etc. And it's definitely cheaper.
However a treat once in a while WOULD be nice!

Yes, I totally agree that one's own kitchen is the best!!

I just keep getting the urge to open a raw food joint in my area because I know it would be jumpin!! And jumpin!! and jumpin!! So the thing is I need to be educated in the restaurant field sort of a thing...
Ummm? I need to start working on it!:)

Plus Grezzo is the best!! At Grezzo, dishes that will just amazed you! I know, I've been there and had a few bites.

I believe that Alissa's classes now include working for a day in her restaurant--or at least touring it and asking questions. Have you ever worked in a cooked restaurant?

Be aware that it has to be a passion, because very few survive, and fewer excel. A great restaurant can expect a 2% profit..and 14 hour days=)> But, it can be fun!=)

Yeah, I did go. That was one of the best day I ever had to spend the day in Grezzo's kitchen. Very inspiring and a lot of fun!! Leah and Sam really showed us what it was like to be in the kitchen preparing raw food. It gave me a pretty good idea for rhe most part. I had this in mind anyways before this really special day happened.
I agree with you there about the passion. I have passion about raw food that's for sure, I'm just trying to figure out where I need to be directing that passion. Is it opening a raw food joint, maybe....

I'm suprised there's not one out there. Are you far from Teluride? Sooo many celebraties go out there. You'd just need a few to brag on you. I'd look into it & consider it. It doesn't have to be a luxury restaurant to start with. You could make an easy, casual sit down place.
Here's a place in SC..not saying it's better than Alissa's, just giving info.. They have 2 'grab & go', 1 cafe style restaurant. These get going then go into something like Grezzo's. They may be easier to start out. If it's on your heart & mind & soul...put it on paper to see what it looks like there. It would be great if you had a popular name to back you....just ideas. You know Goldie Hawn is a veggie/vegan, I think & of course Woody, Alicia Sylverstone, Ellen Degenerous(?sp).

I'm just hoping that as VeganLife points out, that it is "WE" that makes it happen for more raw food restaurants to get going.

So if I happen to ever get that lucky to do such a thing, it'll be a miracle from heaven!!!

So maybe Alissa will be opening Grezzos everywhere. Who knows, she is truly inspirational!!

Thank you Margo, for the support, cool ideas, and your wisdom
