Default Pure Food & Wine - great NYC raw experience!!

hello, i finally dined at the infamous Pure Food & Wine restaurant that everyone raves about, and it was delicious!!!!

the garden was closed, so we sat inside, which is kinda cramped, but thats how it goes in most NYC joints.

my only minor complaint is small, small, small portions, but they are substantial enough to leave you full for the rest of the night! (gotta love that raw magic) and the price is kinda steep..but again, its raw and its NYC, and its to be expected (quintessence in nyc is much cheaper, though)

i had the rosemary crackers and culutured cheeses as a starter, and three pizzettes on crackers with spinich and pesto, marinara and olives, and one with mushrooms and onions

    and dessert....oh boy. strawberry shortcake.

    delicious!!!!!

they were out of the famous white sangria, so i settled for red. amazing!
and i also had some sake.

Pure Food and Wine is amazing!!! I had a great experience there, along with 3 other (SAD eaters) who were blown away!

One of my favorite places ever! amazing food! I went with an Italian guy who pretty much lives off of meat and pasta. he wasnt too thrilled with the dinner (he probably hasnt had a raw veggie in 40 years) but he did like the dessert.

Bless those raw desserts- surefire way to get a SAD eater to like raw food!

Chances are I will never get to NYC to eat there. I'm doing the next best thing. Testing recipes from Sarma's and Matthew's books, the one they wrote together, and the ones they have since written separately. So far, all delicious. :)
