    Exclamation Please help, endometriosis!

    Hello everyone,

Ok, i have been 60%- 99% raw the past 2 years( i think, lost track of time), i know that is not a long time to detox properly and like alot of people i have fallen off the tracks now and again. Even when i have i have always eaten at least one large salad a day, wild greens when i can, i always have a smoothie for breakfast or fruit. and in the smoothie i always have raw powders, (maca, a supergreens mixture, chinese herbs,mesquite,camu-camu,spirilina others i cant think of right now)try to avoid caffine and if i have it i will only have 1-2 cups of coffee or tea a day, i stopped taking cacao regularly as i was getting bad effects that i hadnt noticed until i stopped taking it!. some days i have no caffine. i eat raw garlic alot and i take ACV alot also.I have reiki when i feel i need it. i exercise everyday, i work with horses so i do alot of exercise, im outdoors alot. But for the past 3 months iv been on and off ill from work, at first i thought it was heat stroke, maybe it was, but i was shocked by this as i drink 8 drinks a day, in hot weather i was drinking mainly mineral water and raw electrolyte drinks that i made, and i was drinking more than i usually do. I live in the UK so its not like im battling extreme heat. Since then iv been on and off work, when im off its because im being sick, dizzy and feeling very weak, also on off diahorrea.Anyway for the past week and a half iv been off work. Sickness, nausea, very dizzy and weak.but also started my period a couple of days into it and worst period iv had in a long time, they had gotten ALOT better. I had an operation to remove my 'triple sized' appendix and meckels diverticulum 5 years ago and it was a very bad time in my life, that much that i was frightened to ever go back into surgery(im 20 and had surgery 4 times all have left my mind scarred!!), so i kept to myself for the past few years that i bled from my rectum when i was menstrating, as i had read that it wasnt serious unless you bled everyday, although im not stupid and i realise that this is not normal at all!.The pain is very very bad, well i have to bite my hand to stop screaming when i go to the toilet(boths ends!) when menstrating. Also that i had stopped having sex because of the pain i experienced.Iv also had a strange rash on my arms and back for 7 years that nobody has been able to diagnose, the only thing that seems to help is the sun but as soon as the weather cools off it flares back up. Well i decided to tell the doctor this when i went back for my blood results the other day, because i could put up with it all before partly out of fear and partly because i was just ignoring it and taking strong painkillers, until it started effecting the job i love.i was also told several times that the pain was just something i would have to put up with and if i was in pain after surgery it would be IBS.

I will get to the point, basically im having to see a gynocologist and will have to have a laparoscoby to see whether i have endometriosis. im trying not to worry but its hard not to, when trying to look for natural cures all i can find is changing your diet(which i do and have done) and that sometimes acupuncture can HELP, but there is no cure? when reading mainstream endo info i find stories of women having major bowel surgery and having their reproductive organs removed. im also extra worried because iv already had my bowels poked around with and bits taken off. im really really agaisnt any surgery, unless from an accident, i like to always use natural methods as i think it is barbaric to cut things away and remove them, when its not dealing with the main problem. also with endo it says that 9x out of 10 it comes back within 6 months to a year. so people just have surgery again, it lasered off.

Forgot to add that all my blood results came back fine.

I guess im asking for advice from anyone who has had it, known anyone with it. ANY natural alternative therapys, im open to any advice, whether from a mind, body or soul perspective. I dont want to end up having my insides butchered up.

I have not had endo, but know a lot about it as I was a host/helper of an infertility website years ago.

Endo is caused by estrogen dominance/progesterone weakness or both.

You know how some people can drink and smoke and live to be 90? Well not all of us have that constitution --sounds like you don't.

And one to two cups of any caffeine in a day is TOO MUCH. You cannot have any caffeine. NADA. Well, have a raw cacao dessert once or twice a month if you want to splurge.....But if you're addicted, wean so as to not get headaches. I only ever drank a cup of coffee a day, and even had to wean of that.

Also, the estrogen you have is going through a bad conversion ---it's turning into a bad estrogen---this causes it too.

    EATING RIGHT DEFINITELY HELPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Those with endo must stop eating refined carbs ---you cannot have insulin ups and downs. And your estrogen WILL metabolize properly if you add a good amount of cruciferous vegetables. There are studies that show that the methylization of Estradiol will switch to the good kind, the OH-2, rather than the OH - 16, (something like that), with the addition of lots of cruciferous veggies to the diet. In the meantime, you can take some of these phytochemicals in supplements as well , such as indole 3 carbinol, to really give your body a boost. Broccoli sprouts are a good, easy one too. They contain sulforaphanes (sp? no time to look up), that do the same thing.

I would also add progesterone. At your young age, you will not have to take it forever, but you are dis-eased, and this will help to turn it around. Try to find an all natural cream, and rub it on the day after you ovulate. You rotate it on diff't parts of your body--thin-skinned parts--bottom of feet, back of wrists, under yoir biceps, behind your knees. You can get it without a script OTC. (Over the counter). I'd take 75 mg /day. Then about 4 - 6 dpo, up it to 100+ the way your body naturally would, then slowly wean. So you'll be taking it for about 12 days. This will give your body a boost. Do not take progesterone orally ---even natural bio-identical ones, such as Prometrium. Your body was not meant to digest P4 (progesterone) and it taxes your liver.

Actually, vaginal P4 would be best, but you need a prescription, and good luck finding an all natural one. They use red dye in them....Like we need it to look red to put it up.......GEEZ. My doc currently has a compounding pharmacy trying to mix one up.

If you do all this stuff, I think you can turn it around in 4 - 6 mos.

Eating raw doesn't hurt either. Doing a cleanse wouldn't hurt either.

Lowering your cortisol will help your P4 assimilation also. Cortisol (stress hormone) is also increased with caffeine. Nature's way of birth control. If you're too stressed, nature says this is not a good time to bring a baby into the world. Cortisol, gets to progesterone receptors and block the absorption of progesterone in your body. So de-stress. Do lots of deep breathing, even while in the car, doing dishes....etc.

    HTH,

Good luck, let us know how it goes.
