Default Hi all...from me in Houston, TX

I am ready to take it to the next level and become raw 100%. Where do I start? I have been eating raw until dinner since nov-2008. Any guidance would be very appreciated.

Hey! welcome! First - do you have Alissa's book and DVDs? Excellent!
Second - is there any way to get the SAD/CRAP foods out of the house and have ALL Raw/living foods stocked?
WHY is it dinners you cave on? Because family isn't Raw but you? Then have an all Raw day once a week and have your family join you. Before you know it you all (or is it ya'll-LOL) but you all will be 100%!

Welcome. Just find raw meals that satisfy you the way your SAD dinners have. Such as zucchini pasta, wraps, large salads, etc. Having a green smoothie (24-48 oz) for dinner is a great way to fill you up so you won't want anything or little else.

Thanks all for your welcome and responses. I will try the 100% raw day for the whole family. They know I am doing this to feel better and they join me in a lot of it, I think my boggest reason for not letting go of cooked foods, is because I still enjoy cooking and baking. I will not get a dehydrater any time soon, do not want one, so for now I guess salads, soups, and mooties is the way to go. I am not tried any raw grains(soaked and sprouted) butwill maybe incorporate them for more filling options.

    Welcome BasenjiMamma!

Congratulations on your decision to go 100% raw. It is easier than it seems like it would be and with your family being so supportive you are in great shape.

I also do not have a dehydrator (but I DO want one, lol) and have loved cooking and baking in the past. I find myself enjoying creating raw more than cooking now. I do still enjoy baking, although I find myself at odds when I think about the fact that I am feeding people things that I do not consider fit for consumption. I try to reason with myself that they are likely going to eat it anyway, just from a different source. The holidays this year will be interesting. I usually bake and decorate at least one gingerbread house and last year volunteered one for this year. My brain has been working on a raw one for my own home.

Anyway, you have found a great site for support.
    More power to you!
