    Hey everyone!

Been under the weather today... keeping things pretty simple. Had mostly fruit today...got some wonderfully sweet grapes. Same Salad for lunch that I had yesterday with Eggplant Bacon and Not Tuna Pate with Lime Vin. Dressing. I made some Broccolini Salad and was gonna eat it with a Marinated Mushroom, but I'm not in the mood to eat it now. I'm a little under the weather, so I'm just gonna rest tonight...

    Talk to ya tomorrow...

Thanks!!! Still under the weather today...ears clogged up and very congested! Had to call off sick tonight--which I hated to do. But, I flew last night and my head almost exploded at 35,000 feet!!!! IMAGINE IF THAT HAPPENED AND GREEN SMOOTHIE STARTED LEAKING FROM THE SKY!!!!! LOL!!!!!

Yes, you must!!! As you can see, I've been eating a LOT of it lately! It's a nice snack when you wanna eat something in a hurry. Just put the Eggplant Bacon on a piece of Romaine and tomatoes and go for it!!! Or, on top of a Salad, or just eat it like jerky! I always make at least 2-3 Eggplants every 3-4 days and that keeps me going.

Oh, BTW, here's what I had to eat at work last night...Same ole, Same ole....

I haven't made anything new cuz I don't get paid until Tuesday and my Money is kinda "Funny"... You know, when you look in your wallet and there's a distinct ECHO!!!!! Well, gotta eat what's in the frig until then!!! The good thing is, because Alissa's recipes are HUGE, I actually have LOTS of leftovers in the freezer (Quiche, Eggplant Parm., Noasted Turkey, and Choc cake...)

So, today so far I've had 2 Bananas, Marinated Portabella, and Alissa's Flax Crackers with Pico de Gallo. Been drinking a LOT of juice and taking a supplement of Vitamin C to get over this cold. Also had a couple of cups of Herbal Tea with Lemon and Agave. Trying to stay off Meds, though.... The interesting thing is that a lot of people that I know are sick right now, but I'm NOT as sick as they are!!! Most people that have gotten this have had it for two or three weeks. It's only been a couple of days for me and I'm still not as bad off as they are! I know that being RAW has helped me with that!!!

    Tootles!!!

Actually, yes... My best friend and I made them about a year ago. It WASN'T pretty!!! For some reason, it didn't turn out as good as I'd hoped it would. It didn't dehydrate right....maybe not long enough, I don't know. I do remember the Spinich part of it being really good, though.

It's on my list to do again in my last week. I WILL NOT be defeated by the Calzone!!!! Maybe you could help me and talk me through it. I know that it's her "prize" recipe, so it MUST be good! I'm sure the fault lay with me and my "non-skills" in making it. So, alas...I'm gonna try again!

BTW, my "hour-glass" figure is starting to show now!!! I KNEW it was there somewhere!!!

Oh, I did put these on earlier.... :) They should be read to eat in time for dinner with a Salad!!! (Eggplant Pizza's with Spinach, Portabella Mushrooms (marinated in Nama Shoyu), and Black Olives) What can I say, I'm addicted to Eggplant!!! They don't look like much, but they sure are GOOOOD!!!! I just cut the Eggplant, made up Alissa's Marinara Sauce and put it on the Eggplant, and used toppings I had readily available.... 15 minutes....tops!!!

And, I just had my Green Smoothie!!! SOOOOOO GOOD!!!!!

Thanks for the beautiful pics :) Can you eat eggplant raw without dehydrating it? I mean, does it taste good? I've never tried it. Raw is so exciting,-there are always new things to discover!

Okay... you are getting me to thinking I really need to try eggplant SOON! As in - for dinner tonight.

As to Elderberry, I get it in pill form but liquid is best... it's a natural herbal immune booster. I've been taking it all week and I kicked the flu in 3 days! Elderberry + olive leaf + GREEN SMOOTHIES GALORE!!! That's the way we kick the flu in THIS house.

    Default WEEK 7 Day 47

    Hey Yau'll!!!

Well, I'm feeling better today! Ears still a bit clogged, but I didn't get NEARLY as sick as everyone else I know who got this nasty "bug"...!!!

So far, I've had a Green Smoothie (with the Mint this time), 2 Bananas, and Leftovers (Salad w/my Last Portabella Mushroom, Eggplant Bacon, and 2 of my Pizza's I made yesterday!) I ate 3 of my Pizzas last night--got the munches late and was so glad they were there!!!! Keepin' things simple, especially since I'm kinda broke this week! I do have plenty of RAW Veggies in the frig, though, so I can't complain.

I also have 2 kinds of Alissa's flax crackers to nibble on (Banana Flax - I put Agave on these and they are a GREAT snack!!! and Basic Golden Flax - I like to scoop up Pico de Gallo or Pate with those!!!) If I get the craving for Chocolate, I still have some Cake left in the freezer as well as Snicker Bites, so I'm all set.

HERE'S THE MENU FOR THIS WEEK (some of the things I've already made...):
    WEEK 7:

Raw Ravioli (Pg 397) (unable to make)
Eggplant Bacon (RFT) (made, and re-made!!!)
Pineapple Boats (Pg 464) (unable to make)
Carrot Cake (Pg 490) (will make the last week)
Banana Crackers (Pg 347) (made these and Basic Flax Crackers)
Corn Chowder (Pg 356) (previously made)
    Banana Bread (Pg 331)
    (unable to make)

Just wanted to check in 'wit cha!!! I'm not quite up to up to exercising today (getting over the flu), so gonna rest one more day then hit it tomorrow.

    Tootles!!!
