Wah, I am just so sad. Still can't see the pictures. I was able to see them in the last thread, but no longer. And I can't access photobucket either, so it is obviously a problem on my end. Advice anyone?

I have a son allergic to nuts so we swap out sunflower seeds for nuts. Make sure you soak them.
I made a sunflower seed parfait he loved it.

Hey you!!! LOL!!! Well, gotta be honest... I took off of work the last week!!! Notice none of my posts last week said "getting in from a RED EYE"!!! I took a little "mini vacation" so I could start our first week Homeschooling and totally dedicate myself to my family. That's how I've been able to do some of this. My schedule changes every month, but this month I mostly fly on the weekends...(with the exception to this past week.)and be off during the week for my kids...

Tonight I went to a gathering with a few friends, and had a BLAST!!! The hostess knew I was RAW, so she made a RAW platter with veggies just for me!!! Wasn't that SWEET!!!

Oh hey it is great to meet another working and homeschooling mama. I work mostly weekends too, to try to make homeschooling flow. It is a lot of work, but so totally worth it.

I homeschooled too back when....cool. I sort of school my boys I nanny now. Teaching al the tme.....and we even drink smoothies too. Lil one asked fo rthem as we had left off having them. WInter is coming and they need them to keep well!!! It means I buy the greens and stuff but its worth it. Parents dontbuy them (rarely much that is living in their fridge).

Renee, if you ever want to fly here to CT (via NYC), I am a couple hours from Grezzos. You can hang out here in my great space (with my adorable kitty n me) and visit my cong and we can go to Grezzos!!!!

Well, Renee, I'm so glad you are at this still! I want to echo your comments on the eggplant parm - I made it several days ago and it is awesome.

I had zucchini pasta on Friday and I used Alissa's Summer Tomato Sauce and it was yummy! Your son might like that better than the marinara.

Your children are adorable! How great is it that you have inspired them to raw!

Thank you for all your efforts on behalf of all of us!

    Annie

PS: You've inspired me to begin using my freezer, and now I have Eggplant Parm and Spinich Mushroom Quiche and greens (yes, greens!) in it.

    Hey Annie...

That's really great about the freezer! It'll become your best friend, after the dehydrator!

A quick question about the Spinach Quiche...It says to make 4 Shaped Pizza Crusts... How "BIG" do you make them? When they're done, do you pile the layers on top of each other, or do you have 4 Separate Quiches? I'm thinking about 1/2ing this recipe...is it REALLY a LOT? I know that MOST of Alissa's recipes are HUGE!!! Thanks!

    Default Week 5 day 33...

Annie...I'm gonna wait to make the dish until I hear from you about the above ?....

This morning I had 2 Bananas w/Granola Cerael and Milk. Then, I had a HUGE SALAD w/Eggplant Bacon and a slice of Onion Bread on the side. Oh, I also had the rest of the Kim Chi that was in the frig.... I like it better at room temp, not cold. Sydnei requested it AGAIN!!!! I couldn't believe it!!! There is something about it that she REALLY likes...that's cool!!!

Gotta work tonight, so I'll be taking fruit with me and anything else RAW I can grab in a jiffy cuz I gotta leave the house in a few minutes!!!!

I MADE MY "TO GO" BAG... (The Baggie Has Flax Crackers and Onion Bread, Salad and Eggplant Bacon, and Fruit...)

    Talk w/you RAWbies tomorrow!!!

Hey Renee, we just had the kim chee here for dinner. Everyone liked it but my son and he said he doesn't like kim chee anyways. I think if I made it again I would add some tobasco sauce. And I think it will be better tomorrow when the stuff wilts even more. Thanks for the photo that made me make it!!

    Renee,
I've been afraid to mix up recipes in my dehydrator. Did you find the banana leather tasted like onion bread at all?

To what lengths I am having to go to see those pictures! I had to do a system restore as apparently something is corrupting my flash player. Then I had to delete Firefox. NOw I am updating IE. So anyway I can finally see pictures but only of food...these adorable children I keep hearing about, it says the pictures have been moved or deleted!

    But the food looks AMAZING!

    Hi, Renee,

Yes, it is a big recipe, but I froze 3 of the quiches. I took 1/4 of the batter and spread it into a circle on the teflex sheet. After they had dried I "piled the layers" on top of the crusts, and dried again. In my BR (Before Renee) days, I only made half of a lot of recipes, but now in my AR (After Renee) days, I made the full recipe and freeze. Enjoy!

    Annie
