Hello to you from a healthier me!
This forum is fantastic ~ I've been reading for weeks and have learned so much.
I've been eating approximately 90% raw for several weeks, have discovered some delicious new recipes (raw cashew and avocado chocolate 'puddings' ~ fabulous!), have lost several pounds, but more important: I feel great!
I'm turning 52 next week, and thanks to inheriting a genetic hypothyroid and the joys of menopause, I look in the mirror and don't recognize the body I'm walking around in. I have 'only' about 20 pounds to lose, but it feels like my body would appreciate de-toxifying nasty things out of it as well as enhancing my health with alive foods rather than cooked (read: dead) things. I know I'm preaching to the choir here!
Anyway, just want to say HI, and thanks for all of the information shared in this wonderful forum.

Welcome! So glad you are enjoying this healing journey! Do you have Alissa's Book and DVDs? Powerful tools!

Welcome! I feel the need to detox too, just from looking in the mirror. I have a lot more weight to lose, but I also notice a general puffiness that I think the raw food diet will really help.

I don't have those yet, but as I delve further into this way of eating, the more I'd like to learn. In other words, the more I learn, the more I want to know! Thanks for the suggestion!

I've noticed an occasional puffiness too, and from my reading I've decided that it's general inflammation, and if I eat something with sodium in it I'll retain water. I can see that by eating raw, only using pink sea salt, drinking plenty of water and making sure I include certain fruits and vegetables (watermelon and cucumber), that puffiness is GONE!
