    Default Weekly Water Fast

I've begun fasting once a week on my day off, and I always love the way I feel the next day, but at about 6pm I start getting really crabby. Any advice?

Also, I get quite dizzy for a few moments, but it passes.

Separately, I'll get a tingling sensation in one or both of my arms, but then it will subside.

**Added later** I also seem to have trouble breathing for short periods of time. Almost like asthma, but not as severe. It does tend to subside after a few minutes as well.

**Added later** In the last hour of my fast (hour 36) I threw up a yellow liquid that tasted the way nail polish smells.

Does any of this set off a red flag for anyone? I've done a good amount of research on fasting, but additional help is always welcome.

hello! when you get dizzy/light headed really focus on deep breathing. it seems to make a big difference. i've been fasting on and off the whole summer. usually just a few days. i used to get a lot of symptoms (headaches, dizzy, moody, NO energy) but now then i've done so many i don't really get them anymore...until i am coming up on a few days. I also did have a lot of tingling but i also have 3 slipped discs in my neck so i think that is why :-) this is also one of the reasons i wanted to fast.
i LOVE fasting. I get this feeling that i have never experienced. It is this tickly/jelloey/calm euphoric feeling.

I enjoy fasting too. When the scary things like vomiting and being dizzy pass, I feel very at peace.

That yellow stuff is hydrochloric acid---stomach acid. I usually do that when I'm sick and have barfed up everything I had in my stomach. Man, you were really detoxing!

I'm doing a day-long water fast today, too bad I forgot I'm getting a big shipment of yummy raw goodies in the mail today!

I hear that... When my boyfriend got home from work the night I fasted, he said, "all that raw milk we bought at the farmer's market is going to go bad, we'd better make ice cream!"

So we made 3 pints and I couldn't touch the stuff.

He only ate one pint that night. We split the second 2 ways with a friend the next night, and then shared that last one.
