Default Just have to share ...

I have NEVER broken a fast without turning into an insane eating machine (ALWAYS cooked, often SAD), but LOVE how I feel when I'm fasting. So, for awhile I figured I shouldn't fast. But for years have had in the back of my mind to fast one day a week, so I figured now was as good a time as any ... last week I tried a water fast (one day) and caved at about 4:00. Ok, that didn't work so hot. So THIS week I decided to do a juice fast for one day (yesterday), I successfully made it through the day AND (drum roll please ...) I BROKE my fast this morning with a smoothie and just had a raw salad for lunch. The crazy lady didn't come to visit! I just need to remind myself sometimes I need to take BABY STEPS. I figured I'll practice breaking my ONE day fast each week, and I can work up to more for in the future when I want to do an extended fast again.

    Blessings,

Baby steps sounds good. Take it slow and don't beat yourself up over it.

Congrats on the successful fast and you're right - baby steps is the best way to do it (I also think a juice fast is better than just a water fast but that's just me ).

    Talking ha!

oh man I am so glad I am not the only one. Yesterday I did a fast and broke my fast by eating a LOT and then I felt sick. I think I am going to stick to juice fasts for a while so I don't eat everything in my fridge

Congrats on the weight loss BTW I just noticed that you lost 21 lbs. that's def. something to celebrate!
