    Default Raw in Charlotte NC?

I will be traveling to Charlotte several times over the next few weeks and was hoping to learn of places to eat, and perhaps more importantly places to buy organic veggies so I can feed myself.

    Thanks!

Hey..I live in M'ville!! Sadly, not Raw Restaurants here. There's Whole Foods which has many organics. Home Economist has things too but I think they're too expensive. There are some in Asheville about 2hrs in the Mtn. It's beautiful ulp there, love the Biltmore Estate.
Now..if you want some SAD food, LUPIE'S in Huntersville is the place to go.
Are you here for work? I was in Malden, Mass last Month.

Seems like we're playing in two threads at once :)

Did you go to Vej Naturals when you were in Malden?

We have a good community in the Boston area. Next time you're up, check out the Boston Raw Food Meetup (http://www.meetup.com/RawBoston/). There's always something going on and you can join us.

    Any groups in your area?

Default Home Economist Market in Davidson

    GreenSmoothieGal wrote (in another thread):

"I also go to the Home Economist Market in Davidson, they have a few raw prepared items. It is at 261 Griffin St in a small shopping center at Exit 30. Coming from 77 it would be on your right not far from the exit."

I went there to pick up some prepared raw food items for lunch. I was able to get a nice lunch (raw pizza, raw veggies on zucchini noodles, raw choc cream pie) for $11, which was within my expense budget for work.

It was delicious and I'm glad I was able to support my local raw food community, at least a little bit. Next time I'm in town I will stock up on my raw organic ingredients there. (Found some organics at Food Lion, but not especially fresh looking, and no organic leafy greens to my surprise. Home Economist has organic leafy greens.)
