Candida talk, please
I've been on a strict yeast cleanse diet. I bloat, experience fatigue, am foggy-headed, etc. I've followed the diet carefully for more than a month but still experience bloating. I'm at least 95% raw and do not eat sweets, wheat, starches, etc.
Has anyone else struggled with Candida? What did you do to combat the yeast overgrowth?
I'm grateful for everyone's insight into this situation. :)

Personally I had to do 100% raw , drop the fats, salt, condiments etc.. and I kept the fruits and veg.Worked for me. Had tried many approaches.

There is a ton of info on candida....here n everywhere. Coconut oil dumps it fast as well as pau d arco herbal tincture. Minimal foods in the diet for a couple days. Greens, greens greens....bitter greens are best...dandelion and burdock are blood cleansers (not sure about eating burdock leaves...roots in the fall are super.)
To really not feed yeast for two days would be super...no fruit, no fat, nothing glutenous......green juice.

I have been fighting with Candida since, going RAW but, realize by reflecting back in my life that I've had it since childhood. The only time I find any relief is when I do a low fat raw-vegan diet. I am now including colonics to cleanse it out of my colon. I am sure that I am full of mucus and it can't move. If you can't afford colonics do enema's. Also, Greens and Green Juices are really helping me. If I keep that fat to no overt fats like nuts, avocado's etc. I seem to be able to eat fruit. When I did a no-fruit candida diet I was dehydrated and my symptoms did not go away. Try reading Doug Graham (80/10/10). Although personally I do much more greens and lots of spiriluna, chlorella, and E3 Live.
Listen to your body and what works for you.
Good luck

The high-fruit, low-fat approach has been great for my candida. I don't believe in the theory that you can't eat fruit when you have candida overgrowth. It hasn't been true in my experience as long as I keep the fat low. It's the fat, not the fruit.
I'm proud of my sweet tooth. :D

This too is my direct experience.same as Jenifae too. Very bad candida trying all sorts of 'NO fruit' and various cleansing herbs, greens. etc..It wasn't the fruit, it was the fat with the fruit.if you are interested take all the above posters advice about low fat and just research this. it seems like the majority of responses on this topic from those who have actually experienced candida and clearing it, have been saying the same thing. So its got to be Good "food" for thought!

Will do! I will ease back onto fruit but watch the fat intake, especially with fruit. This is a brand new idea to me but intriguing to say the least.
I learned long ago that "experts" aren't! That people's own experience with their bodies is what counts. Maybe "expert" comes from the word "experience." Thank you for sharing your experience with me. That's where true wisdom comes from. I have read each of your posts carefully and will incorporate your experience into my own.

I too have found that Food Combining w/low fat diet is key to good health and healing.

Excuse me, Mongodelight, I don't recall being charged for the use of this website. I find your comments negative and offensive. I have been very active on this forum for over a year and I have found that the moderators are very liberal as to what they allow. What they don't allow is negativity or criticizing Alissa, since she has provided this forum. Maintaining a website is not free. Her sales of products allow her to pay for the website. I have found the prices of her products to be reasonable and comparable to other places.
Alissa is enlightened enough to understand that people with specific needs may need to modify their diet accordingly until they are healed, hence the heath section of the forum.
I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this forum. I too have been struggling with candida and I appreciate the information.
