I'm having a hard time keeping up-to-date w/ the forum; just not enough time for it, and the pages load pretty slow (I have dial-up).
But I've been mostly doing fruit for breakfast, some sort of salad for lunch, w/ easy-to-eat fruits for snacks at work (and 1 larabar), and then wraps, salads, smoothies, etc for dinner.
I did "fall off" last night, went out w/ DH and had a horrible SAD meal, and was dissapointed that it didn't taste nearly as good as I was expecting, and I felt awful afterward, tired & grumpy. So back today.....
So far today, during the course of the am, I've eaten a peach, a banana, and a ton of cherries & blueberries.
Lunch was an awesome raw salad - 1 tomato, 1 avocado, 1 ear sweet corn, 2 small slices of sweet onion, 1/2 clove of garlic finely minced up...... all chopped up & tossed together.....with a couple "squirts" of Bragg's Liquid Aminos on top. It was soooo good!! I've been doing the same type of thing on top of greens for lunch salads but decided to skip the greens today, the top is the part I really like. :)

Hi everyone! I'm feeling amaaaazing today! Just super happy and energetic, almost a little blissful...awesome! I did gain 1 pound today but I'm not surprised because yesterday I lost 2 lbs which is a lot.
I just got back from an awesome raw potluck! We had an amazing speaker, a woman who had stage 3 cervical cancer, did all the treatments her oncologists told her to, only to have them tell her she would not survive the cancer, and there was nothing else they could do. She was only 33 when diagnosed and they told her the tumor had been growing for 15 years! She moved to our area last Halloween, because her husbands family is from here and she thought she was going to die and wanted her husband and kids to be surrounded by loved ones. She heard about the raw food diet, went on it, and 3 months later (2 weeks ago) she went into for test and they told her the tumor was GONE! her doctors were stunned! She called her old doctor back where she used to live and they were surprised she was even alive, and didn't believe her that the cancer was gone. I'll write more about this in my blog later.
Today I had:
B - Vegetable juice, apple, plum, 5 strawberries
D - Raw Potluck stuff
Maybe I'll have something else later.
Happy Raw Day 9! :)

Today is normally my big un-cooking day but unfortunately my back started hurting badly while I was vacuuming today. It's really disappointing as I was looking forward to making corn chips, carrot cake, berry bars, and ritz crackers. What a bummer.
Oh well, hopefully, it will feel better tomorrow and I can start some of it when I get home from work.
28 oz smoothie with water, 3 small peaches, baby spinach, 1 frozen banana
Salad with baby romaine, baby spinach, 1 avocado
Raw brownie
Cherries
Melon
56 oz water total

Wow, Carly, that's such an amazing story! I read somewhere that cancer feeds off sugar and that fruit is like a trojan horse because the cancer consumes the fructose in it but is then bombarded by all its antioxidant vitamins and killed off! I know my aunt managed to live with cancer for many many years by taking huge doses of vit c - wish she had tried raw!
Today was good, food was mandarins, bananas and salad of lettuce, celery and red pepper. Not so hungry for fruit today and didn't feel like eating till till 2pm.

Im going to finish this challenge without a hiccup. I already have but ...moving on!
Next month will be even better.
Im greening it up....
2 glasses vital greens phytonutrients
Lara bar
Purple grapes
Raw seaweed salad, b sprouts, 1/2 avo w'lemon, tomato, lettuce,
spicy "candy" cashews (cashews with honey, lemon and cayenne)
Green Smoothie (pineapple, banana, spinach)
And for dinner is a blended green salad or chopped, not sure yet. Blended foods are comforting on cold days, and besides, I have tons of avocados that need using up, before they go brown.

Oh, BTW, My carrot cake turned out great except for the frosting. The cake itself really tasted to me like carrot cake. I adapted from Living Cuisine (but I left out the cardamom because I didn't have any, as well as the orange and lemon zest, and I added cloves), and also a little from Ani Phyo's book (used shredded coconut in the cake part like she recommended). The frosting was good but not cream-cheesy, I had to add an avocado, which was not in the recipe but seemed to help the consistency somewhat. It did turn it green though! I'll have to work on it some more. I'll post a photo on my blog.

Hi All,
I am having a wonderful day and am so glad I am having no trouble at all staying raw.
A couple of years ago I helped an acquaintance out by giving him and his son a ride to the hospital because they were in terrible need. Yesterday, having not forgotten my nice gesture (which I kinda did) he came to my work and gave me romaine lettuce, carrots, kale, zucchini, and the most deliciouos english cukes ever FRESH FROM HIS GARDEN! He said he knew me well enough to know that it was the best way he could repay me and was waiting for his garden to flourish to return a favor. I was so touched and so thrilled I just had to share.
People are good.
Keep it going everyone!

Now THAT sounds really good....do you think it'd work w/ walnuts? (I don't have any raw cashews, and the closest store to me that might have some is about an hour and a half away, not going there anytime soon....maybe next weekend though)
My mom used to get some chinese cookie things, kinda a plain rice cracker w/ cashews and honey on top... I loved those things, the raw version would probably be great.
