    Question

Thank you for the warm welcome!

I'm feeling very detox-y for the last 2.5 days, headache, runny nose, chills, insomnia, mood swings (unrelated to PMS). Anyone ever had that? How long should I expect to detox? I always did a juice fast to start with when going raw so I think the detox was more concentrated in that period and I just felt great while raw.

    B - Watermelon smoothie, banana
    S- Coconut and blueberries
L- Giant mixed salad with nuts and lemon/sesame dressing
    S- Raw bar, apple
D - raw food cafe dinner (mostly salads and a seed cracker)

Also, I'm having a bad taste in my mouth after I eat. Wondering if it's because I'm not eating 100% organic and tasting the chemicals or it's detox....

    Morning all.

    B: Green smoothie
L: veggie wrap with taco 'meat'
    S: plum cobbler
D: If the onion bread I made last night is finished dehydrating, I want to try my first raw pizza: onion bread, maranara sauce, marinated mushroom, Parma (raw parmesan cheese substitute made from walnuts).

    Have a great day.

Good evening everyone, feeling GOOD today and that makes me happy after the past few days. I spent the day loading up the dehydrator and cleaning out my basement some more. I am having a "garage giveaway" tomorrow to get rid of some of my clutter.

B: Green smoothie of kale, apples, coconut oil, almonds, and cinnamon
L: carrots and celery with cheddar cheeze sauce, one corn tortilla with sour kreme,
    Snack: Cherries
Supper: Green salad of lettuce, mushrooms, green onion, avocado, raw peas, with raw mayo dressing and dill. I am trying a bit to replicate the 7 layer salad I used to love as a kid. I may have some more marinated mushrooms too.

I have some bread in the dehydrator, a bit of an experiment, so I plan to try it out, and if it is a success, I will post the recipe.

hilarya_m - Detox seems to be very different for everyone. The first time I went raw my joints ached more than usual, my allergies acted up more, and I had more hot flashes. This all occurred the first week then they all started easing up and now I only experiencing problems when I'm not 100% raw. It's a great motivator to stay raw.

Smoothie with water, blueberries, mango, honey, frozen strawberries, baby spinach
Chopped peaches with Alissa’s whipped cream
Salad with chopped black walnuts, raw pumpkin seeds, vinaigrette dressing, crumbled tomato flax crackers
    ½ seedless cucumber with miso
Alissa’s rye bagels, rye essene bread, and Alissa’s pineapple nut cream
(I think the rye is too strong for me, I'm drowning them in the nut cream to get them down)
    40 oz water total

    Default Day 23

    Hi Everybody,

It was a long day at work today and I am really tired but I wanted to post my food:

    - Smoothie with banana, blueberries, cherries, strawberries, mesclun mix, coconut oil and coconut butter. I had to double all the fruit this morning because the mesclun made it really bitter and I had to cut the taste.
    - Acai cheezecake
    - Blueberries
    - Watermelon
    - Raw Crunch bar
    - Raw trail mix
    - Coconut water

Hope everyone had a great day!
    Michelle
