Breville juicer question
I'm thinking of getting the Breville juicer from Alissa's site... because I will be juicing mostly fruits. But, if I end up wanting to juice green leafy vegetables from time to time, would the Breville be up to the task? I'll never be juicing grasses, so I really don't want to spend the big bucks for a Champion. Thoughts? ;)

I have one and I love it. It works great for juicing fruits except citrus (too pulpy). I juice veggies with it too. Spinach juices really well, but other greens I've tried (kale, turnip greens) don't produce very much juice. It works for those greens - it's just harder to push through (I push it through with harder foods like apples and carrots), and you have to use a lot to produce much juice. And I haven't tried grasses either.
Hope this helps. Sorry about the delayed response.

Juicer
Hey Greegirl,
I purchased the Jack lalanee's power juicer from Bon Macy's on sale for $99.00. I based my purchase on reviews and my budget.
The juicer has been cooperative. It is not loud and abnoxious like some I have read about. If it's the Breville I am thinking of, I believe the motor is louder. Trust me, I don't want to discourage what they are selling on the website b/c I'm sure there is good reasoning to be selling that one.
Here is the list of things I juice:
Apple, carrot, celery, beet, lemon, spinach, pear, oranges, grapefruit, kale, cucumber. The trick with spinach is to ball it up.
I don't feel this juicer odes well with parsely and cilantro. I have yet to ry it balled up inside the spinach or invest in a small hand cracked wheatgrass juicer. I need both anyway.
**easy to clean, no pulp in juice
please let me know if you have any questions.
luv,
linda

OOPS! update, yes if I ball up the cilantro, wheatgrass and parsley, it works like a charm too.

We just received the Breville Juice Fountain plus and it's not loud at all to me. My brother in law has the original Breville juice fountain and it is loud.
The plus has a high and low speed. So you can juice soft fruits and harder veggies.
Like Linda said, make the spinach, parsley, greens, etc. in a ball and place between 2 carrots or apples and you'll get juice.
