What do you think would be the perfect job?
As I'm getting ready to log another 60 hour week, extremely high stress...let's talk about the perfect job. What would it be?
One thing...I'd like more outdoor time. I'm getting almost zero sunshine.

Ciao Smasty,
the perfect job for me is the job that I sometimes do (springtime mainly). I live close to Venice (Italy) and I am an environmental guide, this means taking people (I do this mainly with children) around the lagoon by boat, visiting the islands, looking for birds, observing the plants, getting a lot of sun, and being paid for that!! (even if I have to say the wage is quite bad, and the job is not constant, but I enjoy it!).
For my survival I work also in an herbal shop, and I really don't enjoy that! I am glad it is just a part-time job.

Ciao Sara!!
I was wondering "what's bad about working in an herbal shop?"...then I saw your post on the other forum....ay yi yi! That would really bum me out too. It really bothers me when people look for a pill to counter their lack of personal responsibility for health. I try not to judge people, but sometimes it's hard.
Your other job sounds divine! Perfect indeed!

I am so blessed because I am doing my perfect job! I swore long ago that I would never do anything I didnÂ’t want to be doing, life is too short. Went through some very broke times over the years but its all coming together now and itÂ’s the most rewarding thing I could ever imagine doing.
There are other things like making my clay sculptures that I love but I know that I would get sick of sitting alone and not being able to connect with people and be 'out there' in the word helping people.
I feel like this is my calling.
Best,
Alissa

I love my job. I teach taekwondo. It keeps me active. I want to improve myself in other was such as my weight and health so I am a better role model. I only started taekwondo about 4 years ago. It seems like only yesterday. I'm 41 and between the taekwondo and raw I am better than ever! and getting better each day!
I've had jobs that have sucked the life out of me and I vowed to never feel like that again.

Perfect job--all i need are shoes
I like disucssing things like this.
I thought I had found that perfect job at one time--selling luxury cars. My friends and family appraised me for the job.
It was very unusual for a women and young at that time, who had never sold cars to be in the industry. Well 60 hours aweek was not uncommon and to be honest selling cars is not glamorous by any means. You get tired of lying and being yelled out for not lying.
I'm glad I am no longer there and if I had to do it all over again---NEVER.
the perfect job for me would be running---preinjury I was doing 10-15 miles a day and LOVED IT---miss it.
luv,
linda

My perfect job would be the one I'm doing right now too- I don't get paid money for it, but I get paid in so many other ways. I'm a homemaker, mom, and I do admin and marketing work for my husband's firm- it is "our" business, so I feel like I am contributing to the income, even though I'm not doing the main stuff. It has brought my husband and I closer because we are in it together. It is exhausting and a lot of work, but I wouldn't change a thing. :)

This is a really good question. I use to do event planning and fund raising for non-profit organizations, before the twins. Now I'm a full time Mom. I don't think I'll be going back to my old career. I hated being in an office. I need to be more active.
I wouldn't mind teaching people how to be healthier, in a holistic way. I also would love to find a way to help women who are trying to be a "super woman/mom", and slow down and enjoy life. I don't know how I can do that, but I would love to. I'm still learning how to do it myself! But I'm working hard at it.

I have the perfect job -- I write for a local newspaper. I write mostly entertainment features so I get a lot of great perks, like free CDs, guest lists, VIP rooms!!
I love my job so much, I can't imagine doing anything else.
Interesting though, I'm always in the kitchen making my salads and fruit salads -- one of our sales guys said to me: "You're in the wrong business. You should be in the health business." LOL!
Love,
Mary Anne
