Default July 8th - Day Eight

    Welcome to day 8!

Off camping later today. I'm packing fresh fruit and veggies, bean sprouts, some commercial raw chia cereal I picked up in the health food store, water, tea and Lara bars. Nothing fancy and nothing that won't keep in the cooler.

B: Leftover blueberry crumble. I felt wicked eating dessert for breakfast, but its just blueberries, bananas, dates, almonds and raw rolled oats. Perfectly good breakfast food.
L: Veggie wrap, green smoothie (last smoothie till Saturday)
D: Salad with avocado, 1/4 personal size watermelon.
S: Lara bar for drive north.

Good Luck to all. Back on Saturday.

Okay, finally jumping in. Started yesterday and had spaced out thru the a.m. 2 bananas, 2c watermelon and about half an apple - then -
    1 square 71% dark chocolate
GS - 8 oz gingerade kombucha, 2 T chia, 2-1/2 bananas some water
tomato & cucumbers with sea salt and ground fresh pepper
handful of walnuts and later a handful of raisins

Today will be very similar: started earl a.m. with 1 banana then later took my spoon and went to work on a nice cold watermelon!
Lunch will be a apple salad - 2 chopped apples with raisins, sunflower seeds and a little honey to make the seeds stick to the apples
Then another GS and probably finish off another tomato and cucumber.

Down a pound from yesterday! Yay!

day 2 of 4 of smoothie feastin
I just finished my first: spinach, chard, strawberry & raspberry.
Yesterday I only had half of my all veggie smoothie for lunch, so I'll have the other half today. It has spinach, basil, tomato, mushroom, zucchini, garlic & scallion. It tasted more like soup, so I ended up pouring it into a bowl and eating it with a spoon.
If I'm hungry later I'll have another smoothie with spinach, chard, pineapple & cherry.

I'm really starting to want to chew food again. I'm not giving in though! Today is day 2 of 4, so after today I will be half way through. I can do this! All the same food I want today will still be there on Saturday. There is no reason I can't wait for it.

Hello, everyone, I have had an interesting day. I started raw mainly to deal with prediabetes and migraines. This is the Week I would normally get migraines. I had a little bit of a headache last night when I went to bed, and I had what I call a Pre-Migraine Night, meaning lots of weird dreams and waking up a lot feeling uncomfortable but still not a migraine yet. I virtually always wake up with a migraine after a night like this, but this morning I did not! I still had a headache (very mild) and a pre-migraine type aura, but it eventually lifted and now I feel good! Even went to donate plasma and weathered it well, after a 10 hour work day.
B: Green smoothie. Wish I liked them better, but I will drink them anyway.
L: avocodo and tomato on Mediterranean bread, 4 cheeze balls
S: Salad, olives, 4 cheeze balls, and Mediterranean bread. Later I am going to whip up some marinara sauce and will probably sample a little, but it will be for lunch tomorrow.

B - smoothie with berries, banana and honey; leftover nori rolls (oh, yum)
L - green smoothie with mango, banana, flax and spinach; leftover marinated broccoli salad (just a few bites left); spinach salad with grape tomatoes, broccoli, radishes, raisins, walnuts and raw ranch dressing
    D - raw pad thai

Exercise - I felt guilty yesterday after posting that I'd done nothing, so I took a walk alone after the little ones went to sleep, which was lovely. I'm planning on doing the same thing again tonight.

    Default Day 8

    Good evening,

I got my weekly supply of local organic food from my CSA today, which consists mostly of greens since we haven't had much sun here in the last month. The greens look great and they smell wonderful. Can't wait to have some of them tomorrow!

This is what I had today:

    - Green juice of cucumber and romaine
    - Green smoothie with banana, blueberries, cherries, coconut oil, Blue Manna
    - Watermelon soup (I finished the last of it but still want more)
    - Garden salad with avocado
    - Apple
    - Pineapple Icebox Dessert (again today... it's almost gone)
    - Coconut milk

I am off to go to bed so I can get up early to get to the gym. Have a great night!
