You do not need beans and legumes to get protien. There is protein in all food. Lettuce is 49% protein. I would suggest that you can sprout chick peas and mix it would ground sesamee seeds and some garlic and lemmon juice to make hummus. Make plenty of it and use the remainder to make into crackers if you have a dehydrator.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Hopefully we can help you out.

Just so you know, you do not need beans and legumes for protein. A lot of fruits and vegetables have protein that is far more accessible to your body than the protein found in animal products, beans and legumes.

It may help starting out to read this post written by Alissa explaining protein.

Also, so that you know, it is unsafe to eat raw kidney and soya beans, so dont sprout those!

As far as how to sprout, here is a thread where Jackie gives an excellent description of how to sprout beans.

    Hope this helped!

    Hi Doves Eyes
I am sorry that I was not more helpfull and I came back to follow up to check if you had ever sprouted but Sweet Goddess has got there before me. I was in too much of a hurry with my last reply. Its late on this side of the world and way past my bedtime but hubby is watching The Godfather (again) and I dont like to go to bed on my own.
