    Default Raw Sampler

    Hi, everyone!
I am planning to transition one of my cats to raw food soon and I was wondering if anyone knows of a distributor that offers something like a sample pack of different flavors, or sample/trial sizes of their varieties. I have no idea which type of meat she will like most so would like to be able to give her a few options. :)

Do you have a good pet store? I have a great one in my town. They stock a few different brands of raw meat in their freezers, and at least one of the brands is available in sample sizes. I would just ask. My cat's absolute favorite meat is ground chicken breast. I just buy the chicken and grind it myself. My dog gets most of the chicken, bones, organ meats and all, the cat just eats the breast. Spoiled brat!

i once knew a lady that had a dog that was allergic to everything but kangaroo meat.. lol so by variety, exactly how much of a variety are we talking about here? XD that was a loooong time ago, so i'm not sure where she got it, but a good pet store should be able to help you. you can always look online, too. i'm lazy right now & i have no experience with feeding my dog raw animals, so i am not sure... he creeps me out enough as it is going through cow bones i get him at the store! it's scary cause he can eat them in like 15 minutes- those great big ones.. (i just imagine it being my leg bones or something & it's freaky!) he also has white fur, so... i don't wanna have to bathe him everyday by him getting all bloody and whatnot. :/... i wouldn't mind if he was like a chihuahua or something, but no, he's a 100lb or more Pyrenees mix that does NOT like baths! YOU try picking him up everyday and then digging the globs of fur out of your drain... lol NOT FUN! so there's my excuse...

TreeStar, I order my pets raw food from Hare Today. The do have a sampler with many varieties of raw meat. My cats prefer chicken, but the ferals outside will eat most anything (except the mouse...they wouldn't touch the mouse meat). Hmmmm....

I just buy meat from the grocery store. I first bought frozen ground chicken on line, cuz I thought it had to be ground, and I wasn't sure if he would like it. he did, and I soon discovered his teeth and jaws were strong enought to just eat it without grinding. I give him chicken breast with ribs (cut into apprpriate size for him) he loves chicken livers, the litlle thighs ( I think they are cut in half) and occasionaly beef cubes for stew. am thinking about getting somw frozen whole mice or rats but eek. he was an outside cat before I got him at 1 yr, so I'm pretty sure he has eaten his share of mice and birds.
I 've posted about him before, so sorry if I'm repeating myself
