June 23rd 2009 Raw Challenge - Day twenty three
-
-
Tough day.....have not been feeling well, still "eliminating" a lot and I had to work my 10 hour shift. By the time I got home I was so hungry for some REAL FOOD. I have been eating raw crackers and seed cheese and salad and fruit for two weeks and was in the mood for something more substantial. First I could not find the two zucchini that I know I bought but apparently someone else ate. So fine, I will have the pasta sauce on some avocado, it is pretty bland. Want to make some alfredo sauce. Calls for macadamia nuts, but I don't have any so I use cashew. Folks, it is really awful. It has this sweet undertones with the garlic and lemon juice. Just blech. And I have like three cups of it!!!! So now I don't know what to eat for supper. Still hungry and very unsatisfied! OK done whining! I will not cheat, don't worry.
B: Watermelon
L: Raw crackers and an avocado with vinaigrette dressing. Ate two of my raw cookies before I realized they were spoiled.
Snack: One apple
Supper: Tried to get the above down but it didn't work. I will see what else I can ruin, lol.

Today was awesome! We even went to the park today since it was my day off. My family ate mostly raw today by their own choice so I am secretly proud to be setting a good example that seems to be catching on so well :)
Katchmoleen: I tried making alfredo with cashews a couple of times. The first time turned out awful! The second time I added fresh basil leaves to the blender and it turned out so yummy! May be you just need to add flavor to it? I hope that you find something yummy and satisfying to eat for supper!

katchmoleen, I'm sorry you're feeling so awful. I'm right there with you Today was not my day either, hopefully tomorrow will be better for both of us.
My stomach allowed me to eat a little more today and I was ravenous in the afternoon/evening...which led me to eat too much for my sensitive stomach to handle and now I feel horrible again. Blah.
-3 bananas
-banana & lara bar
-3 bananas throughout afternoon- was very hungry!
-huge salad w/ romaine & red leaf lettuce, carrots, cucumber, tomato, red pepper, cauliflower, half a small avo, and vinegar. Then I was still hungry even though my stomach was kind of hurting, so I had ANOTHER lara bar. And now I want to die. This stomach thing is definitely stress-related and it's very annoying. The source of the stress is only going to get worse in the next couple of weeks, so I'm hoping I can find a way to deal with it.
Anyway I made a list of things that hurt my stomach less, and they are bananas, lara bars and avocadoes. Hence all the bananas & lara bars today. Unfortunately that salad was way too much.

a man is a success if he gets up in the morning and gets to bed at night, and in between he does what he wants to do.

LOL...in that particular instance I meant my husband and son and I think that it has something to do with there only being fruits and veggies around nowadays. The support was always there, but I am thinking that now that that is all there is to eat so my husband is starting to look at the food in a new way and what can be done with it to make things interesting, at least there are no complaints yet :)
