ok i backed away from a whole food juicer. if im going to do it, i will wait and get a good one that smashes not spins.
so i still wanted good juice for my water. so i got a cuiseart citrus juicer. it works fairly well.
i also bought a new thermal cup to carry my juice water in. my old one smells like coffee and since im going cold turkey sunday i figured start fresh!
    so im on my way!
thanks all! you helped me a lot in my future juicer purchase!

Obviously not as good as fresh, but you could also freeze lemon juice or lime juice in ice cube trays. Would be ok if they were going to spoil or you had extra and couldn't use it. Then you could pop out and use individually as needed. You could even put in a smoothie if you wanted.

Way better to use frozen instead of the kind in a bottle (I had always used organic lemon juice by Santa Cruz till I learned it wasn't good to use pastuerized).

At the moment I'm learning to increase my raw foods - I'm in no way vegetarian or raw at the moment. I'd consider myself a "Clean" eater. Just exploring and learning about this exciting way of eating that really interests me.

I buy the big bags of lemons (and limes) at Costco and juice them all at once, using an electric citrus juicer. I then fill up old Snapple bottles about half full. I put them in the freezer.

I'll be honest - I keep one in the fridge and I haven't had it go bad "yet". I'm guessing that I've used it after 2-3 weeks and it hasn't turned. I love having the lemon juice already squeezed on hand. I add it to my water and use it in recipes.

I've only done this with lemon and lime juice, not orange. *Ü*

    Default preservative

Well, I think it really comes down to how much of a purist you are. Lemons, like everything that is difficult to eat, is very good for you and always has short term medical benefits, no? ;) I think someone else mentioned on the post that lemon juice is a known preservative, so I think it can last for days in the fridge. It won't kill you to try...
