Where are all you rawbies today??

My day...worked my butt off as usual!

-green smoothie w/ 3 bananas, strawberries, blueberries, mango, kale. 3 more bananas w/ raw cacao powder. VERY hungry!
*cleaned dog kennels for four hours, worked up a good sweat!*
-salad w/ half avocado, baby romaine, carrots, mushrooms, red pepper, tomatoes, vinegar; banana
    -apple, banana
-4 more bananas and a Lara Bar which I just found out is not 100% raw. I have one more I just bought but I will not be eating these for the remainder of the challenge. Grrr.

kidkid, I read your post last night and just want to give you some (((hugs))) and encouragement! You have already made great strides in improving your health and your life. You don't have to be perfect, or even close to perfect, every day. I believe our bodies respond to what we do the majority of the time. So pick yourself up, dust yourself off, get rid of those feelings of guilt and eat a banana! Or a bunch of bananas, as the case may be ;) Just take it one day at a time, one meal at a time.

I'm having a bad day. I had a peanut butter and jam sandwich and a small bit of pasta. I made some raw pasta and sauce with zucchini etc. and there happened to be some plain cooked pasta in the fridge and one thing led to another. I'm mad at myself.

LiveLife - YUM! I'll have to see if I can find those recipes. Did you find them on this forum by any chance?

kidkid and Longimanus - Don't worry so much about slipping up, you can't change old habits easily. Just keep trying. Whenever I have a slip up I just shake it off and concentrate on getting back on track.

    Thumbs up

carolv -I found the recipes on Youtube (that is where I find most of my recipes since I learn much better visually). For the cauliflower popcorn just cut it up and add the ingredients to your liking. For the pancakes process the ingredients together in proportions that would resemble a normal pancake dough recipe goopy consistency. Dehydrate the pancakes for about 4 hours or until dry on the top and sides and then flip and continue until they are relatively dry but still moist in the inside like a warm yummy (raw) pancake :). This may not be much help. I don't have any measurements and just try to make foods by guessing how much the person in the video put into their dish. So basically, just mix all of the ingredients I listed in my original post..they are so quick and easy to make :)

Longimanus -Like I mentioned to kidkid yesterday, don't beat yourself up too much. You understand what you did and how you feel so pick up and keep on going. Good luck and stay positive!

Today was good. I feel so normal now about the raw thing, it no longer seems like some extra effort on my part to avoid the world of SAD food or cooked food in general so no cravings other than fruit = great! The only thing now is that this evening I got my period for the first time since my baby was born (I don't know if you wanted to know that :P) so I will have to make sure I am eating my greens and such to keep up with my iron loss the next few days. I have never been raw like this when having a period (it has been awhile since I had mine), anything I should know?

Well, I hope all of your days went as well as mine! :)
