since I began incorporating RAW
the first picture is from the summer of 2008. This was probably the SADdest season of my life -- I was way off balance. I look at this picture and I love myself and I think I look like a cute dumpling, but I also remember that I was unhappy and struggling with depression and anxiety. I think I was somewhere around 170-175 lbs. That autumn, I started incorporating more raw foods into my life though I was nowhere near 100%. The next picture is from february of 2009, right as i was transitioning into some serious raw efforts. I think I was around 160 pounds. The weight loss caught me by surprise -- I was just feeling better and enjoying my food more, not struggling or exercising a lot or anything. I don't have any really new pictures of me, but when I get some I'll put them up. I'm currently around 147 lbs, and still not quite 100% (working on it!). Who knows what 100% will bring?!:)
the biggest difference though is in my moods and the way I feel. It's easier to feel positive and balanced these days.

Most people have a difficult time with that when they see themselves at points in their lives when they weren't so happy...

CW: Around 200 (give or take) :(
1st GW: 164 (healthy weight) :)
2nd GW: 135 (ideal weight) :D
Awesome! You are beautiful and inspiring. Looks like you're having a lot of fun too! :)
I forgot to mention also that I have PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome). So if it seems like I'm getting super duper happy over a relatively minimal amount of weight loss, it's because it's just so damn difficult for PCOS women to lose weight! And also, weight loss for me means more than meets the eye. So these 20 pounds or whatever that I have released over the past year is just...it's just a miracle really. It means I'm finally on the right track (after trying low carbing, vegetarian, SAD vegan, and nihilism, none of which quite did the trick). It means my body is finally finding balance, my hormones are stabilizing, I'm at a decreased risk of diabetes and infertility.... the list goes on and on. I'm overjoyed.
