I am happily still raw, even after yesterday which was hard. It was our local parade and festival day, and there was food of every kind imaginable! We had a barbeque, and while everyone around me had burgers, fries and potatoe salad, I had a huge salad.

I had to argue my new raw food choices for the first time yesterday, it was kind of annoying lol!

I'm not done detoxing yet I don't think. But I feel a bit better. Drinking tons of water helps.

Been outside all day, having a picnic. Rainy but fun!

B - banana, apple and seeds
    S - Banana, orange
L - Carrot, apple and romaine salad w sunflower dip, strawberries
    S - Banana, dried figs
    D - Romaine/carrot salad

I had a glass of wine today, at the picnic, first time i had wine since going raw. well, it went straight to my head, so i could only have one glass, and now hours later i'm sooooo sleepy.. So i'll only have wine in the evening from now on, it sort of messes up the afternoon/evening..

    Peace

Another good day here...still feeling fuzzy and forgetting things due to the concussion, so unfortunately I couldn't do any cardio today AGAIN! I miss it, but just lifting weights made me feel really nauseous! Anyway, onto the food:

-green smoothie w/ 3 bananas, frozen fruit, kale; handful of raw trail mix that had goji berries, goldenberries & mulberries, cacao nibs and a couple pieces of raw cashews
-4 bananas w/ raw cacao powder and my first nectarine of the season!!!
    *lifted upper body weights*
    -sweet potato "chips" w/ guacamole
-handful of baby carrots, and I'm about to have a salad w/ baby romaine, carrots, tomatoes, yellow pepper, mushrooms & vinegar

I may have some fruit later, we'll see if I need more food or not. I ate a lot yesterday, lol!

Today I went with my sisters to meet my parents at a provincial park camp ground. I brought my own food for the day and am happy to say that despite their BBQ and comfort foods I was so into the amazing flavors of the food I had brought that never once did I even think of what it was like to eat their food never mind crave it. AWESOME!

    B - green smoothie
S - piece of dehydrator bread with sunflower pate
L - cucumber sandwich made with afore-mentioned bread
S - small glass of young coconut water, a few almonds
D - kelp noodles with curry sauce (made with young coconut) and veggies, large green salad with sesame seed dressing
    S - banana and pineapple ice-cream

Was at a whole food store today and a woman asked me if I'd tried a particular brand of veggie burger. During our conversation I mentioned that I was a raw vegan and she was so intrigued, we ended up talking for about 10 minutes and wandering through the store together so I could show her some of the products I buy and what I would use them for.

This is an interesting thread I discovered. Since I started my raw diet June 1st, so I fit right in for this month's RC. I thought you all would get a kick out of this.
I rode in a motorcycle poker run yesterday sponsored by Hooters and survived the ride and the food

Started out my day with a smoothie of frozen bananas, pineapple, blueberries and fresh papaya. One stalk of celery, kale and 4 dates and 1/2 cup of walnuts. All my friends ate a breakfast of eggs, bacon and hashbrowns before I got there and when I arrived they all said I have lost weight and looked great. Breakfast was included in my entree fee into the poker game, at least I got a T-shirt and some Hooter's girls playing cards for my trouble. We went on our ride and stopped at every Hooter's in SW Florida to pick up our playing cards. We stopped at this nice resturant to escape the rain and there was a very good singer there performing Motown and Louie Armstrong tunes and I had a green salad with olive oil and lime juice (it wasn't organic but good). It was a nice day and one of my buddies took me aside and said "are you going to drink with us again someday?" And I said with a smile, I don't know buddy we'll see how it goes. I'm getting to them
Afternoon snack, 2 plums and a pair, some dried bananas, apples and kiwi, raw cashews. Throughout the day organic coconut water.
For dinner, one apple with almond butter and a green salad.
For desert, chia seed pudding topped with blueberry and agave sauce and for my evening snack finished the rest of my breakfast smoothie:)

B - mango, strawberries, grapes and peach
L - Nori wrap with pistachio butter, avo, tomatoes, olives, leaves
    D - roast dinner

Once again, got to dinner time and craving cooked... eek!

    Redrocket,

Good for you!! That is quite an accomplishment, you should be very proud. It's not an easy thing to do.

Gooberdog69 - Don't give up, you can do it. Make sure you have a special raw treat ready for yourself at dinner time, I find it really helps me to stay focused on raw. Plus I keep reminding myself of how good I will feel if I avoid cooked food as much as possible.

I felt tired when I got home from work, and the fridge was full of DH's cooked food and for a second I thought about eating some stir fried rice but realized that wanting cooked carbs was more of a function of my fatigue than it was my being hungry. So I threw together Nori wraps and ate to my content.

    2. 4 bananas
    3. Nori wraps
    4. apple, banana dessert

Now I'm kind of full so it's also a lesson that I do better with one more complicated food a day than I do with two a day. But I still enjoyed the nori wraps and apple dessert a ton!
