Yesterday was great, but I didn't have time to get back on here and post! I had:
a large GS with spinach, pineapple, banana, honey
snacked on 2 small organic apples
Dinner was: a raw tomato soup (tomatoes, celery, carrots, hot pepper flakes, sea salt, nutritional yeast.) This was really good!!

    Today:
I am getting ready to have a herbal tea and a Gs...then off to the grocery store!

Hi! I just posted on Day 5's post thinking today was June 5th...lol. Anyway today I decided to pretend I was on vacation and called out from work, and ended up going for a walk in a beautiful resort town near me and hitting up the very first farmer's market of the year in my little town. I bought red leaf lettuce, tomato and eggplant plants to grow and am going to get some lacinato kale and red pepper plants, too. I'm excited to finally have my own garden! Also got some lettuce & kale for tonight's salad- it looks SO fresh!

    Anyway, today's food:

-4 bananas w/ raw cacao powder
*ran 2 fast miles & lifted upper body weights*
-green smoothie w/ the usual 2 bananas, frozen mango/strawberries/blueberries, and kale. Handful of raw mixed berries & cashews (had goji, mulberries & goldenberries)
*1 hour 20 minute walk in the sun*
-banana; sweet potato "chips" w/ guac- I'm telling you, plain sliced raw sweet potato is awesome!
-going to make a huge salad w/ all kinds of greens, tomatoes, red peppers, carrots, mushrooms & vinegar for dinner. Very excited!
    -apple & banana later probably

I feel amazing today and wanted nothing but fruit/veg all day. No cravings at all and my skin is glowing!

Today was great! I started the day with a cup of green superfood, 30 minute lower body workout & 20 minute ab workout. I had 64 ounces of green smoothie all throughout the day. I also had a delicious cantelopue and 1/2 Raw Organics bar. I'm pretty full. ....oh, lots of water all day. Getting ready to exercise (speed walk for 1 hour). Today was good as I was able to ignore any cravings by just thinking about the fact that my birthday is coming up at the end of July and I really want to look great in a swim suit on the beach :). Stay strong raw friends!!

Today I made up a recipe of mushroom sauce for pasta which turned out not too bad. I also made salsa for the first time but have not tried it yet. I hope it turns out good!

I have been doing about 99.9% raw since the first of this month. I find that I sometimes test something I am making for someone else, or I have a nibble of something they are eating just to taste it. These are habits I hope to get out of soon. It would be nicer if the people I lived with were more interested in trying MY food (but I guess it just seems too weird).

Also, my baby eats mostly raw and has since I started him on solids. Mostly, the only thing he eats cooked is organic toasted grains like puffed wheat, puffed kamut and puffed rice. I want to wean him away from these but they are just so easy to feed him when he doesn't feel like anything else because he will ALWAYS eat those. I have also noticed that he always wants to have some of my food (SUPER AWESOME!) so he has started to eat more complex flavors and things mixed together or with sauces (all raw of course). So I have two questions for you:

    1. How can I wean my baby off of puffed grains? Should I just find new favorites for him that I know I can always fall back on? Right now I can do that with raisins but I was hoping it would be some kind of vegetable.
    2. When is it appropriate for children to start eating tree nuts? I use some nuts in my food prep like almonds, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, etc.

Thanks for listening and any advice! :)

    Green Smoothie Experiment Day 4

    Green Smoothie:
    Spinach
    Pineapple
    Goji berries
    Cacao butter
    Bee pollen
    Lime
A little sea salt I harvested in hawaii

    Other Amazing Food:
    Leftover seaweed soup
    2 raw food bars
A yummy superfood crunch my man makes with...
    goji
    cacao
    honey
    coconut butter
    soaked and dehydrated buckwheat
    hemp butter
    bee pollen

First thing I desired this morning was a green smoothie. This is a good sign for me, meaning my body is liking the greens:) I also had an urge to do some deep cleaning of my outer environment today . . . and the outer is a reflextion of the inner . . . clean insides, clean outsides. We also harvested some more spring water tonight! A truly magical experience to drink straight from the spring source!!

For some reason I've had a stomach ache all day, which is really weird... it's pretty much the first one I've gotten since starting raw a few months ago.

B - 1 qt green smoothie (red kale, 1 apple, 1 banana, chia, hemp)
    S - several flax crackers
L - kale salad and zucchini/cucumber salad. I didn't take my lunch to work so I bought this from a vegan place in the mall near my office. Unfortunately I don't think it was 100% raw as one of the salads had sesame oil in it.
    S - carrot sticks, grapes
D - Ate at a vegan restaurant called the Radha and had their daily raw special: which was something called a "napoleon" -- cashew cheese stacked with flax crackers, and an arugula salad with sunflower sprouts and cherry tomatoes.

I'm off tomorrow (yay, long weekend) so I look forward to relaxing and eating very simply at home.
