Ah yes, the June challenge... I'm curious as to where the Official Day 1 post has run off to?

I'd like to join - I need the accountability to get through that initial few weeks of 100% and really get strong on RAW...

    Where is everyone? :)

Day 1 - here we go! I've had 3 bananas, some blueberries, some herbal tea. I am trying my best to keep filled up to the brim so I won't be tempted. The last thing I need is to get hungry.

I'm the same as you Susan... I do not want to get hungry, in the early days I feel it's crucial I never feel deprived. I also find that when I initially start on 100% raw I feel the need to eat more avocadoes and nuts but it gets easier to eat less and less of them over time. I also have an issue with craving salty food so eat lots of olives and add sea salt to dressings. If anyone has any advice on this I would be so grateful.

I am starting today on the challenge too. so far I have had a green smoothie with parsley, green leaf lettuce and pears.

My biggest challenge is what to make. I am preparing food for not only myself, but my dh and usually 3 of our children, but sometimes the older 2 are at home and will join us for a meal.

I am looking forward to getting to know you, supporting you, and being supported. :)

    Have a wonderful raw day!

Hi everyone! Day 1 for me, too, although I've had quite a few 100% raw days in the past few weeks but haven't been consistently 100% raw for over a year.

So far I had 3 bananas w/ raw cacao powder and some raw almond butter, then another banana before I went out to run. I ran 4 miles in the mountains. The plan for the rest of the day is a green smoothie, cherries, a huge salad w/ greens, red pepper, carrots, mushrooms & vinegar, and more fruit (apple, maybe another banana).

Gooberdog, have you tried eating some foods that contain sodium naturally, such as celery and raw nori? That might help with your cravings and keep you from adding salt to your diet :)

I'm beginning today too. went to Whole Foods and stocked up on lots of goodies.
B-2 peaches and half a go raw bar (I was on the run)
    s- a few cherries
my big meal which I am in the midst of preparing will be lunch and dinner together. Lots of kale, greens, cuc, tom, avacado, and seasonings. It's marinating already.
I'll probably have something later as well. Maybe some of the chocolate cake from Allisa's book I am making for my baby's second b-day tomorrow:)

Thanks for your advice Danielle... I am not a big fan of celery though have it in my green smoothie but I will certainly keep trying it as I know I can adapt! Also very keen on nori and will make sure I have some every day.
