    Default 2 Cups Almond Milk = 2 - 3 Hours

Maybe all of you won't feel so stupid for some of the things you've done, after reading this - LOL:

Yesterday, after making about half a gal almond milk (mylk - whatever!!), I put it back in the Vita-Mix to add a little sweetener and sea salt. Set it to low speed, and didn't bother to put on the lid because I was just going to mix it up.....Didn't realize it was on "high "and most of it hit the ceiling, and went everywhere. I had a fun day of cleaning up.....I did manage to save about two cups in the blender though.

I did this once a couple yrs ago with pesto..Green slime on the ceiling even....

    Sigh.

Yikes! You lived through one of my kitchen nightmares. My ceiling could use a cleaning, but I would rather not be forced into it. How did you use the remaining almond milk?

I haven't done that (yet) but when my Mom was visiting last year she put the tamper in the blender jar without the lid on first. I was putting away some dishes, accidentally hit the power button and I blended the tamper into smitherines... FWIW my mess-up costed me $20 I think) and a weeks worth of wait for the new tamper..

LOL Susan123. I teach a couple uncooking classes and one of my assistants ground my tamper as well. It wasn't ground to smitherines though, so I duct taped it (wonder if there's BPA in duct tape-LOL) and used it until my new one arrived. Vita-Mix sent it to me for free though. Maybe because I was calling about something else.

I still keep the duct taped one as a spare - you never know!

I can't remember what I did with the almond milk that I did retrieve....I'm sure I enjoyed it, and at 1 1/2 hrs per cup, I'd darn well better enjoy it.

I guess I was stretching the truth- it wasn't ground to smitherines, but it was ground far enough that it wouldn't reach anywhere near the bottom. We were strong into banana ice cream last summer and we ate it daily until the tamper incident. You *need* the tamper to make banana ice cream. I ordered mine online as it was a weekend and they didn't sell them thru customer service when I called... Maybe I need to call and get a freebie so I have one on-call.. My Mom is coming back this summer for a couple weeks.

My blender cover(where the hole is for the food to go in)became very loose as the cover has stretched. It fell in...and was no longer fit for blender usage.

Hey you got a clean kitchen out of the deal. And not cry over a bit of spilled mylk.

That was funny thought. People might laugh over spilled milk(cowsees) because body not want it in first place. The boys I nanny, their mom, pushes dairy. Milk, yogurt, cheese...makes them drink it when they dont want it.
They have ear trouble continually. Ear wax has to be removed monthly if not sooner. Ear pain etc. Congestion and plugged.

    Oppps sorry for the tangeant.

Grateful for almond mylk I guess was where that trip was off to. Enjoy your clean kitchen!!
