Maybe all of you won't feel so stupid for some of the things you've done, after reading this - LOL:
Yesterday, after making about half a gal almond milk (mylk - whatever!!), I put it back in the Vita-Mix to add a little sweetener and sea salt. Set it to low speed, and didn't bother to put on the lid because I was just going to mix it up.....Didn't realize it was on "high "and most of it hit the ceiling, and went everywhere. I had a fun day of cleaning up.....I did manage to save about two cups in the blender though.
I did this once a couple yrs ago with pesto..Green slime on the ceiling even....
Sigh.

You lived through one of my kitchen nightmares. My ceiling could use a cleaning, but I would rather not be forced into it. How did you use the remaining almond milk?

but it was ground far enough that it wouldn't reach anywhere near the bottom. We were strong into banana ice cream last summer and we ate it daily until the tamper incident. You *need* the tamper to make banana ice cream. I ordered mine online as it was a weekend and they didn't sell them thru customer service when I called... Maybe I need to call and get a freebie so I have one on-call.. My Mom is coming back this summer for a couple weeks.
