Default San Antonio Raw Food Intro/Potluck

My mom and I are hosting our first raw food potluck at our church on Sunday, May 31st at 5:00 PM. We will show the DVD "Rejuvenate Your Life" by Serene Allison as well as talk about getting started with raw foods and doing a couple of demonstrations. There is no charge for this event, since it is a potluck I am asking everyone to bring a raw dish to share. Please reply if you are interested and I can give you more details.

This is really cool! I don't live in the area, but I happened to come across your post. I have never heard of a raw food pot luck before, but it sounds really cool. I have just started growing a lot of my own vegetables and fruits around the house (tomatoes, lemons, cucumbers, oranges, limes and i love it! Thanks for the idea of this kind of pot luck, and I hope yours went well!

Thanks to both of you - I hadn't checked back with this post because the potluck is over now. It did go well, although I felt like some of our church people and my in-laws came just because they thought they should support me and not because they were really that interested... Oh well. I've considered doing it again, but haven't gotten started yet. One problem was that most people didn't have any idea what to bring, so I ended up bringing a lot of the food except for plain salads and fruit that everyone else brought. I just wasn't ready to prepare for everyone.
