    Default Tahitian Noni Juice

Today I bought some from Mother's Market. I've heard about it from a colon therapist I had once. She was really enthusiastic about what it had done to improve her skin and energy. She directed me to an online souce which was very expensive, and I wasn't willing to pay that much at the time. I thought I'd try the health food store brand, Tahitian Trader, even though the quality may not be as good. It is organic, though.

Have you ever tried Noni juice?

I haven't tried it yet i have heard of it as well as Xango juice taken from mangosteens and they both say the same thing--superior health when you take it and both are very pricey. In my opinion, there is a place for these products and that is with the majority of 'cooked' society who live off fast food--but for those of us eating high raw, i certainly think there is cheaper produce out there to buy that will do us just as good other than bottled juice sold by people with so many people getting a piece of the money pie. I'd rather give my money to the local organic farmer. :)

Here's a skeptics view on noni juice:

Several companies that make it have been sued for misleading information. Most of it is also sold through pyramid schemes. Personally, I'm doubtful of anything promoted in this way, but of course it doesn't mean the product has no merit. Basically, there has been no empirical research done on noni juice, so it's hard to say if it really does do anything. I also don't tend to believe in "super" foods that cure everything. If they cure everything, it's probably due to the placebo effect!
