Default Obtaining seeds for organic gardening

    Hey everyone,

I'm about to start a big organic garden, and am wondering what the best way to obtain seeds is. Is it best to get ones that came from organic plants themselves, or? As you can see I'm a newbie, but have done some gardening in the past and am very enthusiastic. So I'm wondering what the best way is to obtain seeds that are healthy, economical, and environmentally conscious.

    Thanks a lot,

    Jeffrey

from willhite yes . i order from there because ive a big garden and like to broadcast alot of grrens seeds for big mesclun beds . and from willhite i get giant amounts of seeds very cheap

from highmowing no . but ive been gardening seriously 15 years and a few years back after alot if searching they became my opinion of my best shot at an earth concious organic seed producer . plus there little company so wanted to back them

a real earthconcious but not totally organic company ive dealt with and know for fact produces good seed though expensive is www.territorialseed.com . my favorite seed co but expensive

Use heirloom seeds. Get a book on seed saving and keep your own seeds for next year. It's a little time consuming, but saves a lot of money in the long run. A great source is Seed Savers Exchange www.seedsavers.org . You can become a member and get their huge book of people who have seeds. Some of them give them away, if you send a SASE. Check it out.

You could also dry your own seeds from the fruits/veggies you eat.
