Hi everyone, my weight has actually crept up a couple of pounds. This was a weight I was at for a loooooooong time, before I gained some more, so I think this is a "settling in" spot for my body unless I change something up. Don't really want to change my eating habits much, but i need to get more diligent about EatStopEat every week and I need to get my butt moving. When I come back from thanksgiving, I am going to start exercising regularly and I want you all to help me be accountable.

Happy Birthday to you Gaby! My manbear and I will be 56 next month Dec 30th. He is 15 minutes older than me. So, of course we celebrate together. Wow....18 yrs older. Do you notice a difference in your ages?

We can do this...all of us. We just have to be strong and keep up with supporting each other daily. It sure does help. Have a peaceful sleep everyone. Nity-nite!

Hey Mamabird, your hubby is only 15 minutes older than you? wow! what a coincidence. Yeah, i notice our age difference, everywhere we go, like to the vet for instance, someone always says to me "ma'am, your SON is out in the waiting room", i just hate that. Of course, if i was at my goal weight maybe i wouldn't look older. Also, it doesn't help that he has NO wrinkles at all, he has a baby face, so it's all his fault anyway.

Katchmoleen, i hear you about the exercise, unfortunately, i'll have to lose without that, as my leg is still sore. I must have really done something to it with all my obsessive walking, i walked even when i was in pain, so that was dumb. We were bad on our vacation, but i'm being good now. I actually was craving healthy, whole foods, believe it or not. It feels good to be back on track again.

Happy Thanksgiving everybody! Have fun and stay true as possible to our way of eating...if only a couple of raw dishes with everthing else. I'm bringing a raw stuffing from Matt Amsdens book. It is devine, filling, and satisfying. Try it for xmas if not today. I can share the recipe.

Heres the recipe for raw stuffing:

Soak nuts and seeds between 2-4 hours, then drain and dry.

1 cup soaked raw walnuts, 1 cup soaked raw pumkin seeds, and 1 cup soaked raw sunflower seeds, finely ground in a food processor. Make sure they are dry before grinding.

    1/3 cup chopped yellow onion
    3/4 cup diced celery
1 cup chopped mushrooms briefly marinated in 1 or 2 Tablespoons Namu Shoyu

    2 Tablespoons olive oil
    1/4 teaspoons sea salt
    1/2 teaspoons black pepper
    1 1/2 teaspoons kelp
    1 1/2 teaspoons sage
    1 1/2 teaspoons thyme

Combine all ingrediants in a mixing bowl, mix well and serve.

Mamabird, I made the stuffing this evening. It was very good. Thank you for the recipe. I am encouraged. I am just starting to try raw recipes.

I did it ladies! Started the Couch to 5k program today. My dearest sweetest 18yo daughter went with me. We walked/ran for 20 minutes and this old lady did the whole thing without dying. Yay me!

Hi all, well the Couch to 5K (google it and you will find lots of info) seems to have gotten my weight loss moving again, after a month long plateau. Today my weight loss stands at 40 pounds on raw and 48 pounds alltogether. Yay! I completed week 2 day 2 today. It is very cold and windy here but I am determined to keep going.
