May 14th 2009 Raw Challenge - Day Fourteen
-
Haha, i'm first posting yesterday's things...
I'm feeling really good. Nothing bad with my body, nothing else either. I had a few longings though, because i went to a poetry reading at my fav vegan cafe, where they hav fab food...But i stuck with my chamomille and thought about how i would feel physically if i had that lasagna..
Went shopping and got two new things, i think they'll be staples because i looooved them: turnip and chard! I think turnip will beb great to marinate, since it's sort of flavourless yet crunchy. I can't get jicama here, so that will probably make a good substitute.
And chard was delicious! I doubt my blender will liquify it, so i'll keep it in salads and wraps and things, but my oh my, what a wonderful taste!
Foods..
B- buckwheaties, apple, seeds, rasins and mylk and a kiwi
S - Apple
L - Chard wraps w avocdo, turnip, carrot, kim chee and tomato
S - Apple
S - Green smoothie (kiwi, arugula, mango, coconut oil)
S - Pieces of cantaloupe and banana, marinated mushrooms
Peace

Yesterday was fruit day.Let's see if I can remember all I ate:
- Pineapple
- Dates
- Plums
- Peaches
- 1/2 Melon
- Bananas
- Strawberries
The weather was too bad to collect wild herbs (well, don't think one day without them will do any serious harm).
O, I tryed to eat a coconut which was kind of odd: the juice tasted much stronger and a bit bitter (I have only tasted it and did not really like it). When I opened it, it parted from the shell by itself. The flesh was softer than normal and also had this strong taste. I did not eat it. Does anyone know if those are signs that the nut was gone off, or unripe, or anything else?

L: chicken sandwhich (it was good for the moment, but did not last my body rejected it within 15 minutes). and water.
