    I read that a couple of days ago and it really is true! Beside health the things that has made the most difference for me is:
    * cheaper shopping!
    * easier to shop, not having to wander around the whole shop
    * less garbage
    * SO much easier to do the washing up

    Thanks for reminding me of this!

    Hi,

    Do you home school? Waldorf home school?
    I am a home schooling mom of 4 that loves their way of doing things.
    Fairy tales and hands on, loads of art......
    Thanks for the link to the additional benefits of the raw food lifestyle.

    I have found all of these to be true for me, too. Except maybe the cheaper shopping. Organic stuff gets sort of pricey in Minnesota throughout the winter months. But yesterday, I had to pop in to the grocery store, and it was so great that the only department I needed to hit was the produce department. I was in and out in a flash!

    And definitely less garbage. And WAY more compost. My combost bin is going to love me being raw!

    I have to admit though that I don't buy everything organic ... yet. Our supermarket has a very poor selection of organic fruit and veggies so I'm currently trying to find other sources. Easier said than done here in Scotland.

    Yes doesn't it feel great to do the earth good! Yes Shay i do homeschool/unschool and i did look into a waldorf school once but very pricey but really like their natural approach to learning and love that waldorf site! I also don't buy all organic. There are a few things though like oranges and raisins that i absolutely must get organic. We all do the best we can--i guess if it is a choice between processed junk with lots of dyes and chemicals and produce that isn't organic--i'll take my chances with the produce--hopefully the veggie wash does something. Although i know it is all about the soil it is grown in and the way it is grown. I am also concerned with 'how' organic things really are sometimes, and often the organic produce near me looks sickly as it has sat there too long.

    Speaking of cost, fruits make up the bulk of our grocery bill. Now that I'm on the juice fast, I'm easily going through $30 of fruit a day. Veggies are still pretty cheap here, but all fruit is imported - from China, Thailand, Australia, the U.S. - and it's very expensive...and not organic!
