So far the best one I know of is the Excalibur.
It's big enough to remove trays, has a temperature control, etc...

Hi Riacw,
I love the Excalibur dehydrator. Don't bother getting the small 5 tray one you really need the 9 tray one to make the recipes. I think that Alissa sell's the dehydrators.. Good luck,
Jude

I'm THRILLED with my Excalibur!!! I'm so glad I got it. I was going to try to make do with my old Ronco...but it was way too hot. I love how the Excalibur works, it dries things fast and evenly without having to rotate trays at all. I love that the shelves remove for doing taller things (breads). I did a temp test on my excalibur, it was very close to the gauge and about 2-3 degrees cooler.

I bought the 5 tray Excalibur from Alissa. I haven't been disappointed with the size of it since I'm basically the only one eating raw. It took me a bit to get the hang of it but I'm onto it now.

I just got mine and I really like it, (the Excalibur) I need to test the temperature though with a thermometer as it doesnÂ’t seem to be reading the right degree??

Dehydrator ?
Hi all,
I was very impressed with this forum and the answers to sooo many questions. I to have a question, I have just started going raw 100% (3 days now).
And yep, I too experienced bad headaches, stomach pains, diahrea (cant spell) and almost threw up.....luckily it didn't last long (only a couple of days). I'm starting to feel good and am determined to eat this way, this is not a diet but a new way of living and therefore I want to purchase the Excalibur Dehydrator but was worried that teflon is a toxin, you see I have thrown out my microwave many years ago due to radiation leaks etc and my pots are stainless steel and bowls are either wooden or glass, I don't have anthing plastic and will never use anything plastic becasue they are unsafe.
Can someone please tell me if the dehydrator is made from safe products ?
Gees I hope Iam making sense......I type as Im thinking.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance
Jo-Ann
