Going raw got me off facebook.
Hi I know everybody has facebook. Jesus my parents have facebook and they are almost 60, oh and my gramma does too. Well like most young people I check facebook like 5 times a day. Too much time I spent. Now that I am raw. I use raw food talk as a healthy alternative. You learn so much more, and it helps you stay raw.

didi dancer..... toooooo funny. I agree with you. Hooray for better spent time!!!
-
I still check facebook 5 times a day, but only the vegetarian group and the "we like it raw" group ;-)
-
Yes and now cannot stay off here...to learn and help. Pretty cool....hooray.

lol I wish I had that happen...I check Facebook way too often!
-
Dang, grandma too? That's crazy!

i haven't used my facebook since 2007... i haven't checked my myspace in at least 6 months... i just signed up for twitter about 2 months ago & haven't checked it since... lol i usually hang out here or at some japanese learning forum... or a patriot forum. (don't ask, cause it's political)
i have a sad online social life, huh?. lol. i don't even chat with anyone.. LOL oh well and you know what else?.. i don't have a cell phone, either!!! i've had them in the past, but just didn't really ever use it... so.. kind-of pointless to spend 50-60 bucks a month on something i don't use... i have been thinking about getting one, because they have cameras in them & stuff.. and i could take it with me overseas (some carriers have that option).. but i just haven't gotten one, yet.

What really creeped me out was when I found out my boss(es) used facebook. So awkward...
Hopefully this site can give me some more constructive ways to spend time online. Not that facebook is all that bad though.

Luke this site is very constructive and we would rather have you here than on facebook. I think facebook is a bit creepy.
-
Facebook is filled with silly stuff. Over here we have a passion for life.

Awesome!
I purposely avoided the whole social networking thing for years. Never did myspace and just got on facebook 6 months ago...fb is what you make it. I've made some really great REAL time friends who I've met in person. And my boyfriend! Totally unexpectedly! And don't knock the RAW networking aspects of it y'all. I'm hooked up with all the major players on there. D Wolfe, Alissa's on there, Juliano, Paul Nison and raw foodie regular folks around the world. I have connected with some really interesting people, raw and otherwise. But it is addicting for sure. You have to find your own groove. What may be too much time for you, might be not enough for someone else. hahaa.
Nonetheless, you've found a great outlet for inspiration and support in RFT. I agree...it's definately here.

I am on facebook. I actually need to get on there more often but I don't want to get to addicted to it. I do like connecting with people that I cannot connect with on here. I do agree that you can learn more here especially about eating raw. I think we all have to set our limits and try to stick to it or social networking can take over.

The only time I would use facebook is to tell my friends how great I feel after eating raw foods :-)
