Last night was not a good evening for Chester…. Lots of nausea (aka ~ "redecorating" my furniture), pacing, and frequent panicked trips to the litter boxes. As I watched his behaviors, I made the decision around 3:00am to make one final trip in to the vet. Conferred with the vet this morning… he agreed that Chester's behaviors were not in line with what we should be seeing at 12 days post-surgery and that his quality of life would be downhill from here on out. I let Chester go to sleep at 8:00am this morning. He was three years old.
If life is about learning "lessons"…. Loss seems to be a major part of the "curriculum".
Just wanted to let you know that I appreciate all the positive thoughts.
