    Smile raw and dorm living?

    hello,

just curious how many of you live in dorms, and how it is like to maintain a raw lifestyle while living in the dorm?

do people give you funny looks? and what do they say about it? is it difficult? are you on a meal plan? how does that work out with the fruits and veggies situation?

i am considering dorm living, and i would like to know about what you guys think.

I've never lived in a dorm but I have lived in a motel room while waiting for housing and with a mini fridge it is doable.

I guess the dorm would be different in that you could have a meal plan. If you do, make sure that your cafeteria has plenty of raw food available. Hopefully there will be a salad bar and fresh fruit. Additionally, they might be able to cut up some vegetables for you that would normally be cooked. Like stuff for a stir fry.

It would be best if you have a mini fridge in your room and at least a small amount of space for other things you might need like a blender, storage for nuts, seeds, etc. Dorm rooms can be small.

I life the raw vegan lifestyle in a dorm room and I am loving it. It's the healthiest, most convenient way to eat.

i am also raw and live in a dorm. its not that bad at all. what i have here is my vitamix and a few utensils. there's a kitchenette here in my residence building. whenever i need to whip a meal i just do it there. if its something simple like green smoothie, i just do it in my room.
fyi, i go to school in philly and reading terminal market is reaally close to me. this makes my lifestyle a lot easier.

I'm planning to be in dorm when I enter college for the school is quite too far from where we are residing. They say it's not that easy. You have to do things on your own. Learning how to be independent is what it wants to impart to students.
