Default the little pitt that could.....!

I went to a car show to day out in lake sammamish.... we parked, and 5 minutes later I had to use the restroom, so we went to the gas station across the street. There was a guy standing there by the bathroom with a small puppy...the puppy had no leash or collar and was eating food that the guy had thrown on the cement ground at the gas station! He asked if I wanted the puppy, and I said, nah, we already have a dog.....but then he was like "are you sure? it's free! I'm just gonna leave it here...I don't want it" and we couldn't just let him abandon this 11 week old puppy in a gas station parking lot! So we took the dog home.....having no idea what to do with it! we took her to the pet store bought her a food dish, a pink collar, and took her home and gave her a bath.....It is sunday, so I was going to take her to the vet tomorrow and get her a check up then figure out what to do with her! But....then the manager of my building was talking to my husband about her dog that passed a while ago, and said she thinks she is ready to start looking for another dog.......so we told her the story about the puppy, and she came over later with her kids (college age) and they took her home! She lives 2 doors down from us so we will get to see the puppy on a regular basis (i usually see her every day) and we can be sure she is in a loving home!! funny how things happen, I think we were meant to be the 'transporters' for this girl to find her new home!! Here are some photos of her....she is a heart melter!!! Oh, and the last photo is of my dog "Chewy" (after chewbaca from star wars...no....we're not star wars fans, but he really looks like chewy!!!)....which is part of the reason for not keeping this dog!!

Yup. That's what I figured. You can see how scared she is. What did the neighbors name her?

Oh my, how adorable they BOTH are!

What a lucky little pitt she is to have found a good home through you. I'm such a sucker for animals in need. I guess that would be why we have 5 cats, 4 of which just showed up on our doorstep at various points over the last 5 yrs.

Oh Thank God for you. I have a Brindle Pitt that I rescued off of the street six years ago and he is the sweetest boy. He is around 74 lbs. now I am so very glad that I kept him as he fits perfectly into my life. I have another female pitt mixed.

    These are my children.

    How cute!
I have a soft spot for brindles.
I've always had Pit Bulls in my life - wonderful dogs :)
I have one sleeping next to me as I type this She's snoring away.

(It's spelled with one "t" - not 2 - Like the hole in the ground) I know how uppity that sounds, but it makes me twitch when I see people spell it "Pitt" - Makes me think of Brad Pitt LoL

I'm happy to see there is so much love out there for this breed, they are such sweet dogs!!

Funny thing happened....my mom enrolled in a training class with her dog (a toy poodle) and it just so happens that Bean (that is what her new mommy named her! cute huh!) is in class with my mom and her dog!! how fun!
