My daughter just made these, using Raw Knitster's method, and she used carob since we were out of cacao. She said they were really good and when frozen did taste like Snickers. I have not sampled them, that will have to wait till my GS fast is done. But I am thinking a bunch of these will be good to take to the outlaws for Thanksgiving.

Now we've moved from Snickers to Almond Joy! Yum!

Can't have almond joy without the coconut.

You know, while were at it, we might as well make raw alternatives to the whole candy bar catalog.

    Default Its always snickers

I've made a couple of other raw desserts but these are my favorites. I keep thinking I need variety in case I get a craving for something different. But from my SAD days I can honestly say its always snickers that I would turn to. So, these will always be in my freezer. Always. Everyday.

    Default Frozen Snickers!

I posted earlier in this thread about having to try these soon - I'm going to suggest this to my Florida friend for us to try making when I'm visiting her very soon now(leaving here in 10 days). This is something that doesn't need a dehydrator or food processor to make. But since I'm going food shopping tomorrow, I'm going to pick up some medjool dates and do a dry run on this here - LOL! This combo just sounds genius!

I love frozen dates! I buy a ton of them from Costco and just stick them in the freezer for snacks. Your snickers recipe sounds incredible- I cant wait to try it.

I finally made these! I used Renee's tip and froze my dates first. OH MY GOODNESS! These treats are heaven to my tastebuds! My 11 year old almost fainted in the kitchen just now!

They are!! I hope you love them as well! My daughter said they are better than the real thing...coming from her, that's high praise! I don't think she'll be asking for any more "real" Snickers bars anymore. ;) By George, we've got a winner!

It's got the consistency of Hershey's syrup, only tastier, lol!

(coconut milk = coconut water/meat blended)
