I am sure I underuse mine. Went straight away and purchased it after eyeing Ms. Cohen's DVD. Humph, as a matter of fact, I rented an auto that weekend and drove to Omsted Falls and got mine-didn't wanna wait for US Mail, LOL.

I need to get back on the bandwagon. Haven't totally fallen off, but haven't been doing my daily a.m. spinach smoothie. It's 5:44 a.m. No need to be at work until 7:30 a.m. and get this . . . it's across the street, as in 650 steps away. No excuses for this gal, eh!!!!! Thanks ladies for being a positive force.

That's great Gaby. I've had my Vitamix since 1978. They made them out of stainless steel then. I've only had to replace the motor once, due to a manufacturing defect (the replacement was free -- shows how they stand behind their products). I've made, bread, smoothies, Ice Cream, juice and soup with it. I even use it to grind my wheat, rye, flax seed, and rice, for flour. I even ground garbanzo beans (the dry ones) for a flour that I made into felafels. I don't use it for the ice cream or baked breads anymore but all the rest I still use it for.

The great thing about making juice with it is that you get all the benefit of the fiber, along with the juice. You can even use it to grind, chop or even make flour of dried spices. I dry my own celantro, mint, oregano, sage, etc. Then a few seconds in the Vitamix and I have my own ground herbs.

yep, i love mine. We probably use it 3 times every day. All the grinding that you do with yours, all with the wet blade? Or do you have that dry blade thing? I use a small coffee grinder for my flaxseeds. The Vitamix really is an incredible product.

Do any of you use a BlendTec, am deciding whether to go with VM or the Blendtec. I have been juicing for years and I love it (GreenStar) but now realizing that a green smoothie would be a healthy addition daily.
