Default This is what is helping me to thin out

I"ve been an avid exerciser for about 3 years, but sometimes, it just goes sporadic and I'll exercise one day...then be lazy for 3 days...then get my butt in gear and exercise for 2 days...then be lazy again, etc...but last week, I decided to come up with a plan and WROTE IT DOWN on what I would do over the next 30 days. Eat 100% raw, of course (and my one day of fasting per week in there as well) and really start focusing on my weight training and running...so now, I run 30 minutes 3x a week (with a 5 minute warm up and a 5 minute cool down to equal a total of 40 minutes) and on these same days, I do 40 minutes of weight training. The other 2 days, I go for an hour long leisurely stroll, and when the dh comes home, we go out for another 20-30 minute leisurely stroll. And on Saturday, I also work out but I make it a very short, intense workout of 20 minutes of cardio intervals (since those are so fun!!) I have noticed that since being consistent in all this (I've been consisent in my workouts for 2 weeks now), my body is starting to thin out now and I am losing a lot of the excess I have left from losing 75 lbs. Not only that, but I am finding muscle that I never even knew I had! And I have lost 1.5 inches in my waist since doing all this as well and 1 inch in my hips, too...so if anyone out there wants to know what really works for thinning out, MAKING A PLAN, WRITING IT DOWN AND BEING CONSISTENT are the keys!

    ditto!

I start to get flabby after just one week of not lifting and not eating 100% raw.
I am frequently appalled by the low regard you Earthmen have for life.

Congrats Livenraw!! Your testimony is a shining example of how important being consistent is. Most people don't stick with a exercise regiment of any kind for 30 days or more. I believe that consistency is the key and the biggest obstacle people have when going into a exercise/diet plan. You have shown me that I need to write down my routine as well so that I do not get off track (getting off track is easier than getting on). Thanks for your post.

    Peace.
